Do I have bugs? Is something eating my leaves or is it nutritional problem? I am trying to solve potassium and magnesium deficiencies but I never little cuts taken out of leaves before. This in an indoor, in tent grow. I dont see any bugs but it doesnt mean they are not there.
Looks like they may have knocked into each other, but give a good look, over and under. Captain Jack’s Dead Bug Juice is good for bugs all the way thru flower. Get the concentrate and mix at 1.5x strength.
are these fungus gnats?
@Silverfd looks like fungus gnats that come in the soil and awaken once you start watering. We’ll one to #soillife. Annoying but not detrimental. Mosquito bits can be soaked into your water or fly traps.
@Fieldofdreams called it. I apply about a cup to the top layer and water them in. You can almost make a ‘tea’ by dumping a cup of bits in a gallon of warm distilled and let it sit for about an hour. Then strain out the chunks and water with that for a quicker kill.
Edit… Them is mosquito bits. Mosquito bits took care of my fungus gnats problem.
That is weird, I use ammended coco coir. I wonder where they came from. Can they live in earth worm castings?
Thank you guys for helping me id these pests!
I cant get Captain Jack’s Dead Bug Juice delivered to me or find any stores which carry it anywhere near me… Im gonna try the mosquito bits.
The captain Jack’s wouldn’t do much for fungus gnats. I mean it would help, but since they live and breed in the soil, that’s where you want to attack them.
I think the color seen here means you may have some nutrient issue beside the fungus gnats.
And I would suspect either:
or
I am treating with flower fuel, just started though.
