Do buds have to be dried/cured in advance for tincture?

I’m not sure this is the right place for this question, but I can’t seem to find a better one. Anyway, my question is this: We don’t smoke; our thing is tincture. I have 4 plants ready to harvest. If I’m going to decarboxylate the buds to make tincture, do I have to dry them first? I’m thinking of wet trimming, and it sure would be easier (and faster) just to take the trimmed buds and get them into the oven. Advice?

I would definitely dry it a few days first, then decarb it. I make oil quite a lot for my wife to use in brownies, and that’s how I do it.

I make concentrates. You definately want to dry your buds before you process. Now, there is a way around this, but there is still a process to collect the trichomes and it still has to dry and then be decarbed.
