Do Autoflowers have more airy buds vs. Photoperiods?

Okay, but there’s no way to know if the seed came from PGR.

Seeds don’t come from PGR I was referring to the difference between dispensary bud and home grown bud. If they buy commercial there is the difference

Oh okay. Ya, those dispensaries seem to have better quality than anything I’ve ever grown even at my best. Some don’t though.

Back in the day when it was all brick weed, no one would have ever known the difference. You only knew the difference in high/smell/taste. It all looked the same.

See now I watched a vid on YouTube about pvrs and the plants with pgrs had more pistil hairs like the first bud. It’s like thos pics but flipped on how I seen it. Pgr weed they say will have long dark hairs where as a non pgr bud should be mostly receded back into the calyx. Let me find the video or pic I seen to compare because I swear it was opposite of that pic lol

Totally normal. Autos aren’t as dense as photos even when they’re dense themselves. Take the same amount of bud from each weight wise and you’ll find it takes a lot more buds from the auto to make the same weight as a photo. My paper bag full of auto weighs 5oz-6oz. That same bag full of photos is 8oz.

Agree with @Bluntsmoke ,
Overall the typical Photo vs Auto will be denser. You can have an occasional Auto grow dense and a photo be airy, but in the long run the difference is there. Once ground up and rolled I dont really think anyone could identify which is which however. Certainly we want as much product out of the tent as possible, and denser means more weight, but again once ground for smoking i cant tell the difference.

Something else happened to the left auto though that didn’t happen to the right auto. Possibly too much nutes for an auto or it’s genetic. I’m going to chop it bc it looks terrible and won’t get any better I’m sure.

It’s so airy and leafy, I almost want to throw it away.

As the leaves yellowed more, the buds got more airy somehow.

Last two pics are the biggest cola this plant had. No density at all.

What did you learn from this Sir ?
No two plants can grow the same from the same feeding ?
Slurry test , slurry test , slurry test you dirt or coco each time before adding nutrients in ppm and ph , always know what the dirt or coco numbers are before adding in nutrients . Always try to feed less than required when you running multiple plants :potted_plant:!
I hope you had note :memo: so you can now make adjustments to not repeat .

Thanks dad.

I too made that same mistake, now have to pull out the autos every night to put them under a different light while the photos are in the dark. Won’t do that again.

My son grew some autos amnesia and blue cheese under 24 hour light but both of the plants buds were airy. How did your root ball look? I was wondering that too. So we could compare with his grow?

Autos, or any weed. It is rare to get bud built like that. I have only had a couple out of all my grows. And autos should have buds just as dense as any photos. Autos are fine with Jack’s. But do like fed on the lighter side. I should note. I can only say this for coco. As it is all I have ever used.

I’ve always growen autos and rarely have airy buds. I think it all comes down to lighting and the quality of your beans.
