I ordered 4 carambola 1000 12"×12" 120 actual watts each for my 4×4×7 tent, can I use 1 of the 4 for starting my seeds or would that be to much light? Should I buy the dimmer for all 4 but only use 1 and are dimmers necessary for any of the growth stages? Thanks in advance for your advice and input.
Also, I’ll only be growing 4 plants in my 4×4 so it seems to me that I should hang each 1000w directly over each planet instead of putting them all together in the center of the tent so basically each plant gets it’s own light, wouldn’t the light be dispersed more equally? Are you starting the plants in small pots or solo cups? If yes, one light will definitely do to start all four. You don’t need to have a dimmer on the light. You would just run it at full power but further from the plants. You don’t NEED any dimming capability with those lights and a 7 ft. Tent. You will have enough room to give them distance from canopy they require.
I agree with you plan to center one light over each plant.
