Dimmer switch on Mars Hydro TS 1000 LED lights

Hey there! I have a question about lights.

I’m using Mars Hydro TS 1000 LED lights. I can’t raise the lights any higher above my babies. I think light burn is starting to happen.

If I turn down the brightness of the lights with the dimmer switch, will that work instead of raising the lights? I couldn’t find anything in the manual or online, so hopefully my grow gurus will be able to let me know :grinning:

Yes. It will also lower total amount of light into your space, so make sure you don’t have a misdiagnosed nutrient or ph issue.

Thanks for the advice! A few of the top leaves are starting to roll up. They were watered 2 days ago and get misted 3x a day. The only thing I can think of is the light is too close. They’re 15” away from the top buds.

I’d stop misting the plant. They don’t typically need this especially if they have an actual root structure

I had this issue on my last grow. I blamed the light (which was putting off a ton of heat) but in reality, the temp in my tent was too high.

No matter how much I played with my exhaust fan and fresh air in fan, I couldn’t get the temps down. My light has two dimmer switches. One for Veg, one for Flower. I ended up putting the veg light down to about 20% which made a significant different in the temps. Doesn’t seem to have affected the plant at all. (was in flower when I dimmed the veg light)

Hope this helps!

They’re right. You shouldn’t be misting anymore. That’s for when they’re babies

No misting and never misting with lights on!
