Some of my autoflower didn’t sprout roots all the way after germinating in a cup for almost 3 days I still planted them in a small 12 cups led lit tray. How much light do they need?? They haven’t come up from the top of the soil yet so do I still give them a little light? Or is it better to keep them in the dark until they flower? I may have put them a little bit further down in the soil then your supposed to. Please help!
In most cases, 24hrs is more than sufficient time to soak. Many growers will soak 12-18, then transfer to a damp paper towel, so the root can begin to really form. When soaking in a cup, the only objective is to soften the shell so it can break open and begin rooting. After that point, you are basically drowning the seedling.
All plants need light, and cannabis needs a lot, so sprout them under a dim LED. If they become long and leggy, you can adjust height or intensity. With autos, you’ll want to run them on a 20hr on, 4hr off, or 18 on and 6 off. You can measure your PPFD, how much light your plant is getting, with the Photone App. 150-300ppf for seedlings and early veg. 300-550 for veg, and 600-900 for flower.
Photoperiods are different in that you have to manipulate their light schedule and force them into flower. Autos, however, will begin flowering on their own schedule, so there is no need to change your light timers. They will flower on a 24on/0off schedule, but a lot of auto growers prefer to give them a few hours of rest. I’ve read eread of some growers going 6on/2off.

Yea I got some experience with growing plants just not cannabis. I got 5 to sprout now and they look healthy I’ve been doing a lot of research! Thanks for the tip mate. Happy growing mate but I’m from California dude. Gonna get a big harvest this year because we getting good weather in a few weeks gonna be perfect for the auto flowers ! I got mates in Australia too . But California a lot different cuz these girls bouta go outside. If they fail it’s ok I got plenty of seeds to try again when the west is even better! G’day mate!

Is it me or are the sour diesel strand in auto harder to get going from seed started 2 and they have popped out of dirt and have humidity done over them and they seemed to be doing ok but I removed the dome and went back and they had laid over is this due to being to hot or not enough moisture I did put dome back over them and moved lights up any help will be much appreciated. Have had good luck with other strands. Also first time using the humidity dome
