I let the spouse pick since theyre a huge :mushroom:person. I will be doing whatever strains dont get hit by the spouse though later. We are going
Bluey
Ajmf
Jack frost

Happy with all 3 choices. Since im getting the levo i will be able to infuse them into things like chocolates now!

Is there any issue with doing a mixed bag?

Chocolate amplifies the affects. It’s called the Aztec Combo

Of what spores? That doesn’t happen. They compete

Really excited to see what this year has to bring! Should definitely be able to keep myself preoccupied now. Haha

Absolutely you can have indefinite pots set up and only have water going to certain pots with the twist of a ball valve

Bet! That makes it so much easier. I was afraid i had to buy a certain amount of pot set up for each amount. Like have to have a 2 pot set up for 2 plants. 10 pot for 10 pots only. Etc.

I was thinking half of one strain on one side half on the other and half of another in thr middle. But if they cocmpete i will just get another mastr mix.

And i knew it made it easier to eat but didnt know it amplifies the effect. Nice to know!

Nah AutoPots are very modular they are fun!

@TrichromeTay Exactly what @Budbrother said. I tried a tote half and half one time (not mixed together) and one side literally ran over the other side because they develop at different rates.

Definitely nice to know! Thanks @Caligurl @Budbrother! Are there any tips or anything that i should know? Anything i dont have that i should have? Im kind of going into this adventure blind and if i could prevent mishaps i’d like to ya know?

I have what i showed you pretty much. Need to get inoculation bags i believe still

Definitely will when i get some free time soon!

I do have one question. Do you know anything about fruiting bags or how to make them? I was wanting to go that route but im not finding much luck online for the info im looking for.

To make the fruiting bags, you’ll need rye grain or millet. You will also need a pressure cooker. I do know a few people who just inject an Uncle Ben’s rice bag for ease.

I have heard about the uncle bens method. Tempting honestly if it is looking like im going to have to spend hundreds more to get what i need to do things the way i want to immediately.

So i may have mistyped before. Fruiting blocks not bags. But im glad you sent this because that will probably save me a lot of money making my own fruiting bags as well.

I seriously appreciate the help btw. I feel lost not going to lie. I already bought the boomroom II and a couple bags of master mix. But now that i read further the inoculation 6lb bags require like 20+ bags of master mix. Which is like $25/bag. Lol. So at this point im trying to do things as cheap but effective as possible.

So you’re wanting to actually grow them out of the bag and not transfer the inoculated grain spores to a substrate? Like this?

Basically the same thing… still need a pressure cooker.

Yeah pretty much. I just dont want to have to set up tubs and go through all of that when i just spent $400 on a tent that i could just grow straight from bag and set on shelf ya know?

Yeah, I just make my own substrate. I just realized that you said you bought the Master’s Mix so that means you are looking to transfer the inoculated grain to a monotub.

It’s so easy to make your own substrate. It’s in my journal that I posted to above. Coco Coir, vermiculite and gypsum (optional) and all you need is hot boiling water to pasteurize it.
