Determining the sex of your plant

I’m growing outdoors in Malden, Massachusetts. I am curious when I will be able to tell the sex of my plants. My plants sprouted during the 2nd week of May and I am still unable to tell the sex of the plants. If anyone can provide me with a timeframe of determining the sex of the plants that would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I’m in Mass also and my outdoor plants showed pistils towards the end of June

Cannabis usually shows sex at some point between 4 and 7 weeks of age. Some take a little longer.

It almost looks like something is trying to form where you would see calyxes start. But can’t say anything for sure. I have a Cream Caramel CBD at almost 3wks flower that started showing full on calyxes and pistils almost 3wks before flipping. Then i have a purple punch that had no signs of sex and starting throwing lots of pistils the very next day of flip.

Outdoors in the same zone, just starting to see the pistles this week.

Males can usually be identified well before pollination can occur. But keep an eye out.

Great question. I would like to know as well.

Well, on July 25th I finally was able to tell that 4 of my plants were male. The remaining three still show no signs of being male or female yet. The good news is they are very healthy and disease free.
