Defoliate or hold till 2-3 weeks in flower

I currently have 4 indica plants in a 4X4 with a scrog net. I recently flipped this to flower 6 days ago but I have some concerns that I didn’t remove enough veg when I defoliated before flipping. The bottom 1/3-1/2 of the plant is lollypopped, but the top canopy is very dense with minimal airflow at this point as the scrog is quite full.

Question, should I hold off till 2nd or third week in flower to defoliate again, or better I do it sooner?

I just want to make sure I don’t stunt these plants (originally had cal & mag deficiencies so I veg’d for 10 weeks before flipping to flower).

Not seeing to much stretch in the first 6 days, maybe 2”-3”

Plants look healthy With a nice even canopy. You should have good light penetration I see no reason to take any leafs at this point. Good luck :v:

The stretch should be more noticeable soon.
It doesn’t matter if you defoliate now or in a couple of weeks. They say to do it around day 21 and around day 42 but that’s just to give enough time for the subject to recover before the end of flowering. Notice it’s 3 weeks between each defoliation? It’s just the flowering time roughly divided in 3 “periods”.
If you have really good lights and are on top of your nutrients, it doesn’t make a huge difference if you defoliate a lot.
If you’re not sure or comfortable, just tuck or take off the leaves that are shadowing budsites.
Make sure, if possible, to leave the last 3 weeks of flowering without stress so you can maximize your harvest…

Because of the dense canopy, I’m only able to keep my humidity between 50 and 58% at this point. If i drop the humidity lower, my ppfd goes to 1.4-1.5. , should I be concerned in early flower?

I’m not much of a “grower” when it concerns “numbers” :man_shrugging:

But @merlin44 or @OGIncognito might be able to help

45-55% in Flower is perfect.

This is VPD and is affected by temps and humidity. I gave up chasing VPD a few years ago, temps and RH in range is all it takes Growmie. Appreciate the tag a brother @kaptain3d. Post some pics

I wish I was

Just keep fans blowing around them 24/7 and you should be fine…I would have hacked a lot less off mine if I had your humidity throughout flowering.
