Day 8 trainwreck. What to do…

Growin in 2x2 with 150w led HLG in fox farms soil. On day 8, currently at a loss… my plants are still tiny I’m worried I’m stunting them I need help on what to do from here to stop any more damage.

The most common cause of stunting is overwatering. Give them only a couple ml of water a day and it will be fine.

Don’t worry about them at this point. They are simply developing a root system. Rapid growth will resume within a few days. They look fine.

They look healthy. Be patient. It will pay off.

Thankyou, and only a couple ml per day? I’ve been giving 50 like a dummy..

Cannabis tolerates dry soil far better than wet soil.

Go for wet/dry cycles throughout the grow. These dry periods are necessary for good root health.

Are those full size pots and their forever home, or a starter pot? Watering is the same for seedlings out of the gate but gets a little more difficult in the big pots to make sure you’re hitting the roots further enough away without drowning them.

Forever pots and 3 gal or close to it

Place a solo cup over them when you water, pour around base of cup, this will make the roots spread out and seek the moisture, as well as keep the roots from getting soaked. Plants sometimes stall growth up top while they are building roots down below, get your watering right and they will take off once roots are drawing up nutrients.

@BasedBrett if it was me I would get spray bottle of water and just try keep top of soil moist and it will keep her watered happy growing my friend

Your plant looks healthy man, just do what you’re doing. Hands off is the best approach when they’re young. This pic is my current grow on day 6ish and I’ve been growing for a long time so you’re on track IMO. Use the KISS method also know as Keep It Simple Stupid and try not to ask questions unless you have a real issue because people will chime in who you have no clue if they know what they’re taking about. Next thing you know you grow is f’d!!! First 10-14days they mostly grow roots so you don’t see much going on, nothing to worry about

I recomend these for watering seedlings one or two squirts of 3-5ml a day will do ya
Theyre also perfect for measuring things like calmag and silicate and they say disposable but honestly theyre pretty durable so you can use them for a while I bought 120 I’ve used barely any I only had one crack where i had to throw it away

I bought the 5ml size

Continued… DAY 10 :frowning: major droop, real close to starting over again, maybe wasted a whole month of time and over $100 in seeds to get to this point.

I’m sorry to be so negative at this point. I’ve just been trying over and over and each time I’ve wasted plants/seeds/ and soil.

You will get it down @BasedBrett patients what are you having issues with my friend

I just gave them entirely too much water at least that’s what I think.. I watered 50ml for like 5 days in a row not knowing the amount I should give and following bad advice online. The grow before this I overwatered as well.. I haven’t watered for 3 days no real signs of them not drooping I’m gonna let them go some more days but I’m just at the point where I feel they are stunted too much to continue..Moisture meter is saying underneath soil is definetly moist..

I live by one of these, until I drop in my silica jug. Then I die trying to get it out. I should purchase more.

You’re on a good path now. Dont give up as your recognizing and correcting. Part of our learning process. I went through this just this year.

Currently just went through this on my albino kush grow. Started of in germ pods and then moved her over to her forever home (5 gallon).

I was doing the same thing watered 50 ml a day for about 2 weeks. Noticed it was stunting and almost looked like it was getting ready to die. Came on here and got some advice, we though it was to much water at first also so I started to water at 20ml a day. That didn’t help, made it look like she was really gonna die so I said the hell with it and gave her one nice watering. Following day she started taking off on me.

So reality being in a 3 gallon water may not be penetrating enough farther down. It’s a good possibility she may be looking for more water/feed now.

I can tag you in my grow and read up on what I was going through and possibly see if it’s mimicking your grow currently

I’ve come to conclusion I’m cancer to any plants lately.. see if these turn around which I doubt.. have two more seeds to try and not kill for my next grow..

How are they doing now?
