Darn - Buds not firm? What did I do wrong?

The info that I have gathered or the outdoorsy person is that you should be cautious of using too many nutrients to push. I was away from my garden during that time so I was lucky but now more informed. So, moving forward I will when the pistils start appearing and you start to smell her? Guessing that is the window to let her ease into that transition. I probably was a little cavalier in not researching what strains will do well where we live. The weather can be all over the map with heat, cold, rain and wind as well. Always just kind of realized on green thumb intuition half the time. Well…that didn’t work so well last year. I need to research the strains more thoroughly and determine what specific needs the require. They are, as far as Indica strains, not created equally. There are gardeners with much more experience and knowledge willing to share their experiences…thank god.
The buds look good on vine, but when I dry and cure they are pretty leafy and loose. The effect and terpenes are still there. My holy grail quest is to learn how to do the great outdoors grow and get the closest to Lab Grown results. It might be vanity and may be fooling myself in thinking this is possible, but I’ll have fun doing it in the meantime.

Hey @HotAndHumid. I’m not trying to say you’re wrong by any means, but I live in a 750sf house and am able to fit a 4x4x6’8” tent in a room pretty comfortably. I converted my office space (maybe a 8x10 room at max) Hope this helps.

Wow, that was a quick and good decision. I had a porch umbrella first for 90+ degree afternoons which transitioned into protecting from our bad air quality at night and dew forming with that fine debris…also had bud rot just itching to get a foothold. They were really wet in the morning. The shit you gotta do. You gotta…right?

Fisrt day arrived, October 5, 1990, the day it started raining and never stopped til the big storm after Christmas. Was heading to Alaska, never going to live there, now. PNW island life for me.

Island life??

Island LIVE-er, as in lives on island in PNW and loves it.
Born in WINDY CITY, left in 69 and for sure in 84.
USN-RET transplant to the island, since 90, minus floating life for 35 years the paper says, THANKS.

Whew…Alaska seems pretty dang remote. Saw you came from Chicago? I moved from St. Paul, MN back in 97 with no regrets. Still like going back to visit. Snow? Get enough out here to satisfy any sentiment for it. -175 windchill factors are not for me. I don’t care if they think life expectancy is improved by this adverse shit. Done!

Absolutely genius! Lol!
