DanBs Purple Kush auto grow off

Ok so this is my own personal log for the “PKA” purple kush auto grow off, starting Sunday May 18th 2025. Will list my equipment that is setup.

I have a 2x2 tent lifted 2ft off the ground a hole cut in center.

Will be growing in DWC, 5 gallon bucket
6 inch air stone, a large air pump with an 8 port manifold, using 6 inch basket with reflective lid.
Lights are LED full spectrum, AGLEX K1000 is a true 100w light each. X2
Got 1 4 inch intake fan, and a 4 inch exhaust fan, have a thermometer and same tool tells rH.
Have pH an ppm meters.
pH up/down.

Nutrients are Advanced Nutrients pH perfect micro grow bloom, sensi extra cal mag, bud ignitor, and overdrive.

Water I will be using is natural rain water collected and filtered.

Also have trestle nets to install in a few weeks.

For the first like 2 or 3 weeks shouldn’t need to do a res change. Will know when the roots make an appearance :joy:.

Morning Sir, @Retiredoldguy thank you kindly I still have to set up another bucket and air line an stone.

But I’m confident this round. I will be getting U C Roots on Tuesday bc I should have plenty of time with germination and all. How did the spread of the lights look to you, have an even 200ppfd at bucket height and set 25%, lights are at top of tent.

Hopefully I won’t have to move them up any higher lol I have the straps to do it just don’t wanna :joy:.

looks like plenty light… have you run these lights like this before…

No I ran them in a straight line across and the center of tent. It really kinda stuck me stacking the plants in a line an overlapping on top of each other,

This way the entire floor is getting the same lighting, I went in with a lux meter and tested it slowly took me an hour and a half this morning :joy:

so the plan is to put each plant directly under each of these panel lights… each plant has its own light…

Basically yeah, just each light and the supplemental lights PPFD maps overlapping instead of the plants.

Then in the stretch of flower they can gobble from designated light and the overlap of PPFD if any after veg is done.

Wrapped my white bucket in reflective layer, hoping to keep the light out, but will be getting U C Roots to use in place of Hydroguard.

Was gonna collar them in the DWC but decided to just use an inch of soil.

Done it last time with coco, same basic idea.

Hey @kaptain3d @OGIncognito I was viewing a topic something about mainline and manifolds I remember seeing you tagged in it I just can’t seem to find it again, anywho I was wondering if a nebula manifold is both easy and something that can be done with an auto?

If so is it worth it to try?

You were probably reading @MeEasy 's journal. He’s got some really great explanations on how to do mainline and quadline and he’s an accomplished auto-grower!

Ok think I understand it wait for 6 nodes, top it just above the 5th and clear off the first, then bend and tie down, if my math is correct when healing is done she should be getting ready to start flower.

Thanks for the tag @kaptain3d

Hello @DanB as Kap said it could have been my page that you saw it. I do a lot of mainline work, but so do a lot of other folks. I learned how from a great green hair lady called Nebulahaze she has a site called Growweedeasy dot you know what. If you go there and search manifold you’ll find her step by step tutorial on it. She uses tons of pictures and writes in simple language that for me is easy to understand and follow.
You can also click on my Homer and then again on my featured topic. This will magically teleporte you over to my place where I do like 80% of my plants in a manifold or something resembling one. It will take some scrolling but I show my methods or madness however you want to describe it  throughout the two or three years of the threads life

Holler at me anytime if you have any questions and I’ll try to help out… happy growing sir
