Cutting buds revealing under developed buds

Hey Guys, exciting times I just harvested some bud from top layer of plant just when I noted the hairs going 50-70% brown or red. I took the top layer off and have hung them upside down. I note the other buds hidden from light due to foilage etc were still white. Am I being too clever in thinking i should wait until I see the brown / red hairs or should I just harvest the lot. White Widow strain now at 10 weeks of flowering. Age of plant approx 3 months. In organic potting mix!
12/12 of light for 10 weeks. Hope this all makes sense.

You can partially harvest, or you can cut it all. It’s growers preference.
In my opinion I would let the lowers finish until the pistils are 95% brown.
Happy growing!

This is what it looks like now just after trimming the top layer of buds out, revealing under developed buds below.

Yep, those definitely need more time.

I’m so glad I asked! Perhaps I should take the opportunity to trim those large fan leaves off therefore exposing to more light?

I think you want to look at the trichomes and not the pistols. When they turn milky or if you want to wait until thy have some amber ones.

That makes a lot of sense and concurs with what I am reading, cheers!!. I also see the difficulties that others have identified even when they have a suitable jewellers loupe. Any other sure fire way for the partially blind? LOL.

Nothing sure fire, I guess you could pick a little dry, smoke, and ask yourself.
