So i am wondering why my plants leaves are curling up. Plant ovewrall looks very green and healthy, but out of the 4 plants in the crop this was the only one showing this sign or difference between them. Any ideas why? or What this leaf curl means?
Here is a couple pics of the plant , thank you forums community for everyone’s advice and help on the topics. Have a stoney day!
Thanks for the replies much appreciated . I humbly apologize but i can’t believe that this issue is heat stress, for the reason that my grow tent has air duct hose running into my grow tent blowing A/C directly over the lights. the lights do not get too hot especially when cold Air blowing over the light. The temp stays at 76-78 degrees round the clock. The other plants do not share this problem if even is a problem. This did happen before and my harvest was fine. I just was not sure why this or some show this leaf having slight up-curls.
Bug thanks for all for the help and advice. Have a stoney day! Aloha…
Hello wondering if you know what this may be causing this slight change in leaf growth?
Sorry to send you a shout out to this topic. But always appreciate the advice you give.
Have a good day!

@shaggy808
I’m thinking a vpd issue possibly.
Humidity too low for the one plant. ?
I just had a white rhino that was a bit sensitive to the lower humidity inside.
Now that she’s out there’s no signs of any leaf curl at all.
The rest of my girls were just fine inside. No curl.
Here’s a chart with the recommended rh levels based on temps.
With your temps of 76-78 the rh should be close to 75%.
I had a Purple Haze that I put a fan too close to and the leaves did something similar. Although, like others have said, light intensity “and” “or” heat stress can do that.
If you have a way to check temps at leaf canopy, just make sure temps and brightness is not too high. Light too close will make leaf tips curl up and new growth turn yellow and light intensity can make the leaf edges curl up. I’m sure there may be other reasons but these I have seen. Just make sure you check all that’s been said to be in order and you should be fine.
Also, check and make sure your PH meter is is calibrated. Sometime it takes just a little reminder of the simple things.
Good luck!
Thanks man i was thinking the Humidity . Just earlier i was cleaning my grow tent and the tent was open for 20 min. The plant with the leaf curl, the curl seem to have relaxed to a normal look with no curl. My humidity obviously drop with the tent being open, so now i will try to keep an eye on her while i adjust humidity levels. It made me scrath my head because the other 3 ladies were never showing that particular slight issue.
Thanks for taking time reply and post your thoughts , much Aloha to you
Hello again thanks always for your time. My heat is never hot. Atmosphere of grow environment is constant 79 degrees round the clock. The lights are called King LED. they seem to work great
the light does not give much heat i am able to put my hand 1/2 inch below the light and it’s warm not hot. My home AC regulates the total overall temp to make my grow tent 79 degrees. The plants top of the canopy is a little more than 48inches away from light. Im gonna use @Oldguy info to help resolve the small issue.
Thanks always for your time and input, have a Stoney friday!
for got to say about the power setting of the light. It has 2 switches on the light Bloom and Veg and both are on, its a 1500 watt King LED for my 5x5 tent. lots of air flow carbon filter flowing good.
thank you for the time you took to post the reply!! Very kind of you. I am making the check list to make sure those little things are up to par. Have a good and Stoney day!
Thanks everyone for the help and advice , 2 things i think that needed adjustments was the Humidity and not having the plant too close to a fan. So far the leaves have relaxed, no signs of curling leaves.
Have a good and Stoney day! Aloha
