Maybe heat stress?

I picked the light up a few in. Now about 10-12 away it was 5in away.

Yes. When leaves are curling up there is a heat or light stress .

It is not a extreme stress. But it is a early signal.
Try with a bigger space between lamp and plant and fresh air inside room and a fan air direction between lamp and plant.
This are simple way to avoid this stress
