Curling leaves under

Some leaves on one of 3 plants curling under. Rest of plants doing very well. Closer to top of affected one. And only half doz or so. I tied over for scrog and seem to be close to that point. New to indoor and first time seeing this. Using pro mix and gh flora nova grow. 8 weeks since cut from flowering mom. Mother was 2 weeks in when they cut. Have 225w led UFO full spectrum at 14 in above. Water at 7.0 ph.

post pics please

Have pics. Gotta figure out how to post. New at this part.

Only have phone for pics and posting.

Hi - thanks for posting and looking forward to the pics.

For starters, the pH of the water or water/nute solution you are using needs to be 6.5pH, some recommending lower at like 6.2 for pro-mix because of its ingredients.

No prob. Just picked up some ph up and down yesterday and due for feed later tonite. Will adjust accordingly. Thanks for reply.

Just mixed some juice and checked ph. Rt at 6.5. Well water and flora grow at 1 tsp/gal. I’m thinking it may have been a temp fluctuation. We had some up and down days. Room got kinda warm. Low 90’s. Usually hold around 75-80.
Any thoughts on heat stress causing this. Still green but limp. Sorry. Still haven’t got pics figured out.

Was it the lamp that cased the temp spike, or was it warmer outside? I doubt it is heat stress from the light. The LED you have, what is it’s actual wall draw? For example, my LED calls itself 1500w, which is all the LEDs counted up multiplied by their wattage; it gets an HID equivalent of 600W, and has an actual wall draw of 280w.

When you watered, how much did you put on the plant, enough to run the bottom of the pot?

We really need those pics. No pressure

Def not the light. Had outside temps up an down. -6 one morn then up to +16 next evening. Caused a lil up an down in room. Got electric oil filled heater to keep room at temp. Checked when I went to work and was fine. Think it was next day I noticed few leaves curling. Light is actual 225 w draw. 75x3 w led. Watered / fed with 3 litres in 75 liter tote. Sorry bout pics. Not fully tech savvy.Live in eastern Canada and newly legal to grow up to 4 per household. :hugs::hugs::hugs:
Really looking forward to the flowering phase. Mom was shut down due to early killer frost so I’m really hoping to save the strain. Was a gift from a friend when it was 4 weeks old. Took babies at 8 months and 2 weeks in flower. Really hoping to see babies go full term. Will try later today to get pics sent. Thanks for help and suggestions.

Hope this helps some. Think I got it figured out. :+1:

That is the top crown with string on it.

What is the drainage situation on the crate? Are holes drilled in the bottom? At first, I think they are under watered and thirsty. But if the soil isn’t draining well, it could be low oxygen/suffocation. Pics are great, thanks.

Congrats on your new legality! I live in a free state in the US. It is a great thing.

No holes as yet. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
Have a large pan coming to place under and doing soon. Next day or so. May have been a dry spell on soil Still trying to dial in. Again newly legal so in process of setting up space. Being legal IS a good thing.:drooling_face::drooling_face:

Wanted to have some new smoke for Christmas but running a little longer than I was expecting in veg. Oh well. Patience is a virtue.

This is a pic of both plants in tote. Other one in back Center is going In pot tonite.
I know should be in separate containers but … Trying to do this on a tight budget.

You have really nice looking plants. Nice work.

I have grown more than one plant in a container, too. Sometimes circumstances at the time dictate how it’s going to go.

If you got the pH part good, the only thing that really concerns me here is the drainage. Experts on this site may know more about what’s best for really large containers like you are using, but when you water, you want to water until water freely comes out the bottom (run-off), and then let the top inch or so of soil dry out before re-watering. Without drainage, there is potential for water to pool at the bottom of the container and impact your root growth in a negative way because they can’t get oxygen.

I understand the negative impacts of no drain holes. Have been trying to be careful. Waiting till tote gets lighter before watering. Not total noob to growing. Just new to indoor. Gotta get tray underneath and holes in it. Always had holes in outside containers.
Thanks for the kind words on plants.
Looking forward to them coming to completion. Thank you again. :+1:

Just a quick update on leaves curling under. No more leaves affected. Still the same ones. Still green after a week. They’ve had a couple feeds with flora grow and new growth is exploding. Thank you again for your help.

Do you have a same, second tote? You can place one tote (w/ drainage holes) inside the other (w/o) to catch the runoff. How about an update on the gals?
