Curing question

Believe it or not, after a few hours in a small container it will get pretty darn close to the % on the pack. So if you have a slowly curing flower in there, close to the right humidity to start with, in a sealed or environment, it is going to adjust the remaining ‘air’ to 62%.

So to check the actual rH of the buds, just remove the pack for a few hours to be sure - then toss the pack back in. The readings aren’t ‘false’ they are just reading exactly what the packs are adjusting the environment too, so you are measuring that, not the buds.

It will help prevent mold too.

My understanding is that the 57% (or whatever) packs are designed for cigar storage, and the 62% for weed storage.

I wonder if just for the curing process it might be better to use the lower rH one, then when the cure is done switch.

I use 65% for cigars in my humidor. I have been smoking cigars for 30 years. That is the best RH I have found.

Cool. I just know that the 62% is for weed, and they have a lower one that is also popular in the high 50’s rH. they probably have others as well, just never looked.

I like a cigar with my whiskey, but not an aficionado. I like the Drew Estates ‘Acid’ cigars.

boveda has many different RH packets from 85 to 52 i believe
