I use humidity sensors. When it gets down to around 60% plus or minus, I consider it smokeable. It does continue to improve in flavor with further curing.

I’m usually sneaking buds starting about a week or so before I chop her down! LOL I’m the impatient type.

I find my flower doesn’t need much time in the jar: a week? I believe it’s because I flush and do a bud wash at harvest.

What’s a bud wash? U don’t actually wash the buds?!

YouTube it
It is washing the buds before the dry.

I find once humidity is stabilized at 62% (give or take 2%) it takes about 2-3 weeks.
That’s my limited experience, before that I find you can taste how it’s not mature, tastes a bit green if you will.

Sorta like a banana

My worst problem is giving it 2 weeks and then wishing I would have let all of it go 30 days. It seem like a different experience/flavor/aroma once it hits 30days. I had a zkittlez auto flip the switch after 60 days. Heavenly lemon smell and a strong grape gobstopper flavor almost over night after 2 months in the jar. Ive heard buds used in cannabis cups cure for atleast 6 months. Growers choice

I usually wait until it’s ready to go into jars. I cut buds up with scissors to dry, then grind and dry till smokeable.I cure for a couple months and check humidity levels, but I start smoking as soon as it’s ready.
