Cropping auto plants

Low stress training works well on autos, but IF YOU KNOW THE STRAIN AND ARE EXPERIENCED with autos, topping can be done successfully.

Left and middle plants are sativa dominant autoflower strains that have been low-stress trained. They are at approx 60 days in this pic.

The right plant (on pink stand) is a sativa dominant auto strain that was topped once, then screened for 14 days. She is at approx day 40 in this pic.

The scraggly looking plant in the back? Ignore her. Lol! She’s used to it.

Could you screen of green a lot in one grow? Just asking.

Wow your grow looks great blackthumbbetty I might try low stress train with what I get up., have you cloned any autos, the advice is they will flower too quickly to be useful which is a shame.thanks for the advice.

Autos are not really for cloning. They have a set grow timeline, so once germinated, they follow their own schedule, not the grower’s.

If you clone an auto, the cutting stays on the same timeline as the plant it was cut from.

What do you mean by a lot? A lot of plants? A lot of yield?

Scrog would be better suited for photo plants as you can control veg times. Like everything else, not to say you can’t do it with autos. But to have best results you’d probably like a photo.

I top my Amensia Haze and it doesn’t seem to bother them. They look like monster plants. Maybe different strains do better being topped. Amensia doesn’t seem to mind. My 4th grow of them.

Ok these are auto fem. I took 3 from a plant that was flowering. The seem like miniature pot plants flowering. Also I took them from the bottom when pruning. Won’t do that again. I also have a seeded plant from here, about 3 weeks from when the plant popped. They look better. I have one of those under extra lights cause I’m not set up for that many plants. First I wanted to see if they would root and I am 6 for 6 on the clones. I’ll send pics

@blackthumbbetty always has some nice plants going  For your seeds that don’t want to pop. I would drop them back in a glass of water and forget about them for a few days. then check on them every now and then. I dropped a few and left them in water for over a week. Seems more like 2 if I remember right. Just to see what happens. It took a while but they did pop.
