When you catch your runoff next, toss out the first cup if liquid. Catch the rest and measure that. Sometimes nutrients and whatnot get caught up in the fabric of the pot from the last watering and skew the reading.
@Docnraq Wyatt do you mean. That was about 2 cups in or more. Did i grab it to late
@Graysin can i all you something about seeds?? What makes a seed feminized?? Thanks
You spray a female plant with colloidal silver or silver thiosulfate. The female plant produces male pollen-producing flowers. So the resulting seeds are female x female - always female (or most often) when grown from those seeds.
So if you had a female plant outside and it produced seeds would they be regular
More likely than not, yes. Feminized seeds are a very intentional process.
It’s an interesting concept. I might explore that road someday. I think it would be very intriguing
It’s a process. To be honest it isn’t hard, but sorting the seeds is proving to be a pain in the rear. Testing the seeds for viability and ensuring the genetics are good is much harder than just making the seeds, but I started off just making feminized seeds to see what it was all about. I’m starting into the process now of breeding, seriously, for strong genetics.
So if my WW (regular seed) seeded out, any pollinated my GG, would it be a White Glue or a Gorilla Widow…?
Also would the seeds from the WW be male of female?
How about the seeds from the GG?
Is the WW a male?
Cuz then it’s not making seeds at all but the GG is, and her resulting seeds are M/F (regs).
Also congrats on VMOTM!
The WW is a reg seed.
but is it male or female?
Its gender expression (pollen sacs vs buds) is gonna be the determining factor. If it produces pollen sacs, it’s male. If it produces buds, it’s female. If it does both, it’s a herm.
seeds coming from a male + female pairing will be regular. Seeds coming from a female + female pairing should be female. Caveat being why the female was able to reproduce.
@Graysin So now i got questions. If you wanted to make feminized autos what would you do?
Reverse (with colloidal silver or silver thiosulfate) a female auto, and run another of the same auto at the same time. Be ready to collect the pollen in case the pollen drops before the seed-making plant is ready. My first seeds were fem auto seeds - it’s pretty easy too, it’s a little more about timing or responsible pollen storage than just regular breeding but not much.
I wish i followed better. I’ll have to study up before i can truely follow what you say. How do you get a male and female auto of the same
@Graysin i get it now. Took me a few times if reading what your said but now i get it. Where do you get the silver stuff?
