Control for smilers can't be bought

I am running that at 5.8 grams per gallon along with 1 gram of the Epsom per gallon. Running this for the first two weeks of flower only, then back to 321 for a few weeks

@Nicky and @MattyBear got ya, yes does look like a lack of K, should be interesting if I’ll run into that as I will be running some leftover AN PK boosters for flowering (bud activator, big bud, overdrive).

So should I just up the Part A for now or would you suggest adding one of the fox farms leftovers I have like cha ching 9-50-10 or beastie bloomz 0-5-30?

I’d kick up the part A for now, at 5-12-26 NPK, seems there is plenty of potassium in there, just need a larger dose. How much to kick up is the question as too much could lead to a wicked nute burn. I might try 1/3 more - 4.8g per gal instead of 3.6g. Watch for signs of burn and be ready to abort and flush if needed.

gotcha. I will give it a go. thank you

I’m with @Hellraiser that seems like a safe rati to increase to @Breezy.

Hey @Nicky can you please tell me what the bloom booster help with? As well as the MPK please?

Does cal nitrate and mag sulfate help bulk up buds and make them bigger?

Boosts K & P

The mkp way is a couple more mixing steps but give more nutrients and the guru of Jack’s uses it. Bloom booster is a short cut way to get close results, they basically seen what people were doing with mkp then turned it into a separate nutrient all in one bag so you just need to add cal nitrate.

Here is a comparison chart of the nutrients

i see they have a 7-13-30 finish also.

well I screwed my net height up. now the colas are getting so fat they are falling over/ leaning. I bought some bamboo and have so string. So it looks like I will have to steak them and string them up tomorrow.
The buds are just so thick and really heavy this time. First run were nothing to sneeze at (see below image for first grow)

However these are just bigger, heaver and stickier and some are nearly foot taller.
There are also tons of branches that have decent sized buds on them but are just to thin. There are many leaning over on each other now and that wont cut it as it will create moisture pockets and reduce air flow. Looks like the ones that I cant tie up get clipped. I should have defoliated better but I was greedy again and now it’s come back to bite me. Next time I will thin out those shutes and lower branches just to keep things tidy. I know I know I said that the first time.

Good problem to have lol.

You can buy another net you know. Many use 2

I have two. My first net didn’t go in soon enough. Second net went in odd also. So rookie mistakes. My grow ramping from shorter plants to super tall doesn’t help either. I hope to after growing out the right clone eventually have all my want to grow the same heights and traits.

So all plants got a flush of sorts today. Ec/ppm was off the charts, literally . Some of them were registering beyond what my truncheon would measure at 1800ppm… I knew they were high but they look good with no issues(aside from the one plant). Runoff Ph was also high @6.5- 6.6 in Pro MIx HP.

I feed at half strength @5.0PH with gallons of runoff. I brought the Ec back down to 2 or around 900-1000ppm

The runoff was pretty dark until that last gallon or so. I may have been over doing it with the Recharge. I had been just lazily top dressing with it. The Recharge probably wasn’t mixing well and just sitting in the medium and I bet that was driving up the EC and messing with the PH. I will switch to mixing it really well into the last half gallon or so and probably use less.

It’s bad practice to try and correct your PH issue with inputting PH super low or super high.
Instead just keep running proper PH feed or water through until the right PH comes out the other end.
Your not trying to PH the salt build up your trying to flush it. That low or high PH is warning you that you have excess build up.

I had it on a list and spaced it. I bought another hlg 65 and 2x2 for seedlings and clones/early veg and forgot the netting. Too late now they would be on the floor by the time a net got here.

That makes sense. Thank you. The last time I “flushed” with jacks I did just run extra full strength through. I don’t know why I would change it up.

Me either lol

cleraned up some leaves and branches that just escaped my radar or couldn’t hold themselves up and were larfy. I have a habit of giving a branch a chance when i know I should clip it long ago.

I also used some bamboo, string, soft ties and plastic ties to secure and support heavy branches and colas. I also supported a bunch of smaller branches that had passing top buds.
