I know that the peroxide water mix will not hurt the plants. I literally spray my plants, walls, floor, trays, n pots at least once a month as a prevention of molds or unwanted fugi plus it deters bugs from hanging out. So if is something unwanted it will help control or kill it off completely and if not you gave your plants a little shot of extra oxygen
I think I need to start doing that. What ratio of water to peroxide should I mix up
I just squirt what I think is 2 tbs in my 1 quart sprayer and fill it with water because it’s pretty safe it doesn’t have to be exact. I’ve heard you are go 50/50 but I have never tried to go even close to that. Even when I use it to wash bud after harvest I only use 1 cup in about 4 gallons of water
Thank you I’m going to get started on that tonight
Remember that you don’t want to soak your soil especially if you grow organic. It will kill some of your good bacteria and fungi. Just some dripping and light spray isn’t a big deal but if you really soak it I would add some life a couple days after spraying, and whichever you are already using is fine… Recharge, Fish Shlt, Probiotics, Billions, etc
Went to my friends again today. Hid looks just like yours…but just at the top. I sprayed with peroxide
@Allinherhead this is where I started down the peroxide road
Hello.
I dont know how to open a new thread to be honest…
I have this problem with my plants, I dont know if this is some kind of deficiency or mold?
pics at: 12.74 MB folder on MEGA
@lojze Welcome to the Forum. You can start a new thread by hitting the botton on the top right of the home page that says +New Topic.
The bottom leaves look like normal fade…it is ok to remove those. The stuff on the top looks like bug damage. You can spray with a product Like Captain Jack’s Deadbug.
You can upload pictures to your post so we do not need to follow a link. It is the picture icon at the top of the chat box.
Good luck with your grow.
I will get along hopefully soon
The problem is that this is spreading towards the top, it feels like a burn not like a bug bite.
I agree 100% - also noticed it is the same color as the micro nutrients I give. Plant is doing great. Only shows up on the apical formaton
I think you are right. When you first posted this I wasn’t sure but as is looks now, I’ve seen this many times. The peroxide didn’t hurt them they prolly liked it and perked up a little after you sprayed em.
They look happy and healthy 4sure, pretty work on them
No, mold does though. It will actually attach the to the plant with ‘root like structures’.
Sooty mold appears as a black, sooty layer on the leaves, often resulting from the honeydew excreted by sap-sucking insects like aphids, whiteflies, and scale insects
Here are a couple of examples:
- Black Spots on Leaves: Sooty mold can manifest as small, dark black patches on the fan leaves of cannabis plants. [These patches can hinder plant growth by blocking sunlight and impeding photosynthesis]
- [Grimy Appearance: The affected areas may have a grimy, sticky appearance due to the honeydew, which serves as a nutrient source for the mold]
If you’re dealing with sooty mold, it’s essential to address the underlying pest issue to prevent further mold growth. Would you like some tips on how to manage these pests and prevent sooty mold?
Logged on to ask about similar looking early buds/ sugar leaves on two different strains outdoors, and there is a very small number of these, not general all over the plant. I’ve been clipping them off. Maybe I should leave them alone? It has been very humid here. I started noticing toward end of heat wave (Northern Illinois). Thank you!
I sprayed with peroxide at first, but have stopped and that plant really is doing great…going into flower (this is a friend’s plant that is a clone of mine)
Now is a good time to give them all a nice dose of Neem and Diluted H2O2. Also you should treat the root zone for insects and microbes. After they thicken up you don’t want to put much on them or risk losing some Trichomes.
Same situation here. Not on every branch. Once the foliage unfurls, the pigment is dispersed in the plant matter. Notice the edges of the leaves.
Seems to be very common this year
