I’ve considered going to Coco, the only thing holding me back is watering. Currently during Veg, they can go 3 sometimes 4 days between waterings. Towards the end of flowering, usually every other day. With 100% coco generally you will need to water daily, with nutrients. You will have better growth with coco and daily watering, but with my current schedule it’s better for me to be able to go a few days between watering. Another advantage with pure coco is you basically don’t have to worry about runoff readings, what you put in is what will come out.

Im doing twice a day now. One plant will empty the pot in 18 hrs so I give a plain water dose in the morning and a feed in the evening before lights out.
But each time is no more than 10 minutes, probably 5 for the plain water.

@6stringT I have been growing 12/12 start to finish. I have been doing this since May 2018. I did not do research in how to grow. Hell…I didn’t join here til Sept 23rd, 2019.
To do this properly you need good lights. I use HLG’s.
Example what I can do on a 12/12.
I also run my Autos under 12/12. I don’t pH, ppm, and everything else. I have not been using nutrients for the last 2 grow cycles and in the same soil. I break every growing rule and you can see the results.
There is no traditional Veg mode. I had 1 plant that took up 16sq feet by herself. She was so big she hung 2 feet out of the 4x4 tent.
The big girl I am holding was 8 feet tall. I literally had to cut her in half to get her out of the tent. For the record, I can reach over 7 feet high with my gorilla arms.

I have unique growing conditions. I had to find what works for me and 12/12 is it. It gets past 120 degrees here with RH hitting between 50% to 100% daily.
My grow tent has hit 100 degrees so through trial and error I found what needs to be done.
And thanks…I mainly grow 7’ and taller indoors for Sativas and my Indicas between 3’ to 6’ tall. I let the plants do what they will with little interference from me.
And like you said plus side using less power.

OK, I hope you have your lifeguards training up to date! I took the dive. I got the coco soaked it, rinsed it and added the perlite. I’ll give it a go. I have 2 - 3gal and 1-4gal filled and ready.

Its so easy.
What nutrients do you got?
It’s basically feed nutrient solution everyday makeing sure you get a little runoff each time.
Coco is kinda like flood and drain or ebb and flow hydroponics, only difference is you are the timer and pump for the nutrient solution.

I have Jacks complete 6 lb. kit. Thanks good info. So I have the other 3 pots ready also but I’ll wait to put them outside. Snow tonight!

I just realized I’m seeing two ends of the spectrum! There’s @MrPeat who gets awesome results letting them go grow. And then over at GWE there’s BU2B with his PPP pound per plant method where he tops, trims, trains and prunes a multi bud flat canopy with awesome results.

I mainly specialise with growing Sativas. I’m on a learning curve of growing straight Indicas. Definitely two different styles of grow.
I am being consistent with the amount weight I pull off each Indica I have grown. So that is good news.
My current grow is Zkittles Glue and will be Purple Moby Dick which they have a nice warning. Warned for occasional smokers and definitely not a night smoke.

I’ve grown some sativas from bag seed outside in the chicken yard. They did OK but I was less than attentive so yield was low. This time I’m going to try 3 plants in my 20”x36” tent. Starting one about a month early and then moving that one out (harvest or garden) when the other two get to filling up the space. I’ll also have 3 running outside in pots in the garden.
Inside I want to grow 1- C+C 1:1 CBD and 2- Hariquin Kimbo Kush 1:2 CBD. Outside maybe some NL and Lemon autos. IDK, last time the lemon auto finished a month earlier than the other 2 in the tent. That’s how I got away with 3 in this little tent.
