My grow room is 12 ‘x12’x7’ high. It’s sealed. I have a 20lb co2 tank and titan regulator. My question is what number should the regulator be set at? And I wanted to have my auto pilot controller center zone set to 1000 and with 100 zone but drained bottle in two weeks. So I set it to 600 with 50 zone and again drained in two weeks. I checked regulator with soap and water but found no leaks. How do I set these up properly because people say they get 30 to 45 days for a 20lb bottle
You’re only running during lights on, right?
At 20 days per bottle you obviously need to reduce the flow by 50% to get 40 days…
Yes it has sensor so it won’t come on if lights off
So you mean adjust the ball float thing?
I’m confused on the ball float on what number to set it on . I’m new to these co2 tank setups
The ball float is your flow meter. This is monitoring the volume of co2 coming out of your bottle. The higher the ball is the faster your tank will drain.
When you say this sized tank is lasting others twice as long, what are the measurements of their space vs yours? If your space is larger than it will take more gas which will lead to draining tank faster. If this isn’t part of the issue, and you have no leaks, then i would double check things like setup of the system and where/if any air exchange out of your grow space may be happening.
@ThatHydroCouple happy birthday!
Well, I feel your pain! I had the same setup, and same issues, I went through 20 lbs of co2 every few weeks. So, to solve the problem, I just stopped using co2.
Co2 is an outlier as far as improved growth rates and results, as it simply doesn’t have that great of an effect on your end product. In a small grow, in my opinion, it just isn’t worth the time, expense, AND headaches. I never noticed ANY difference in my final results. It is fun setting it up, though! That’s what us pot growers do, we try stuff! Good luck!
