First time grow and just got a jewelers loupe to take a look at the trichomes. I would say they are milky? But what do you guys think?
Try a 60x or greater…
Do you have a closer pick? More zoomed into the caps…
From the pic it looks milky but that could be an illusion… More pics plz
I’m split on this one, is that milky or is it blurry… it does look milky with a bit of optimism
@Sboi Is that a sugar leaf or bud.? … Calyx… I think there called…
It looks like you may have more time…
I personally wait until a few are ambering. More amber more sleepy… So i try to get just a few…
A few more pics plz of Calyx
I will try and get a couple more pictures tomorrow, I will probably just look out for the amber color just starting to show up before I harvest like you do.
Good luck… Remember mine is a preference… Others here like it a bit more or less…
Hopefully either way…you get a great harvest!
Hopefully these offer more insight. The only thing is I think I’m only 4 weeks into flower give or take a few days .
4 weeks… Auto or regular Photoperiod?
If regular… You have a lot of time… Usually 8+ weeks. At 12/12 light schedule
I see more clear now and suggest waiting and updating with pics every few days. Hard for me to use weeks as a reference, I count weeks on photos and starting at flip. The buds look more mature than 4-week flower. What is it and what has it’s light schedule been?
These need much more time. Mostly clear triches
It is photoperiod California dream. I went by begining of pre flowers for my estimate, but if going by flip to 12/12 it’s probably closer to 6 weeks.
How about this plant? It’s been in flower for the same amount time as the other plant but I swear there is some amber in there? (Chronic widow)
It’s like clear, then amber. Where’s the white 'n cloudy ?
As you know clear doesnt taste great and wears off too fast. Hide your scissors and shears from yourself outta sight outta mind
I guess I figured they would all turn clear first then all turn cloudy then some would start turning amber at the end. Thanks for clearing that up
yeah that’s what I figured too. the… transition didnt wanna use that word here… usually clear, white, amber. Youre welcome too, I like checkin em out
Then again diff strains doing different things, I’ll never catch up with all them and details. Approaching the limits of my knowledge at least you got good direction, the consensus here is keep er goin
Don’t know who said it first, but clear trichs look like glass. Cloudy trichs look like plastic. Hope that helps you out some. It made telling the difference a lot easier for me. This is probably in other comments, but make sure to look at trichs on the buds, not leaves. Also look at the heads of the trichs, not the stems.
