“On Sept 10th I started germinating 3 Girl Scout Cookies and 2 Chronic Widows, on Sept 12th both sets had some nice tap roots and I planted all 5, now the Chronic Widows are doing BEAUTIFUL already got more than 8 feeder leaves on each, but non of the girl scout cookies are even growing, all of the seeds are under a 600w LED light, nothing different between the 2 strains, same top quality soil, same light, same amount of water given (except vs the Chronic, their soil has been drying faster, so watered 1 extra time compared to the GSC), any help?”
Strain (type, bag seed): Girl Scout Cookies
Soil in pots, hydroponic, or coco?: Soil
PH of runoff or solution in reservoir?: Water Given to plants is 6.9-7.1
What is strength of nutrient mix? EC, or TDS: ??? Currently Using Sunshine Advanced Mix #4
Indoor or outdoor: Indoor
Light system, size?: LED, 600 Watt
Temps day, night: Grow tent - about 80 degrees
Humidity day, night - 68-70% humidity
Ventilation system (yes/no, size): have a VenTech VT IF6+CF6 IF6CF620 Inline Duct Fan with Virgin Charcoal Carbon Filter Combo, 440 CFM, 6" ready for use, but as these are just seedlings im currently not using it
AC, humidifier, de-humidifier?: currently running a Fan, no humidifier at this time, but have one ready to use
Those should have sprouted within a couple of days. Hard to say why they didnt.
Sunshine Advanced Mix #4
Is a soiless mix and the water pH needs to be 5.8
The 6.9 to 7.1 is way too high. And the pH for watering soil is 6.5 so even for soil that is quite a bit higher. If the water is from the tap considering letting it sit open to allow the chloramin or chlorine to evaporate. It can be very hard on the little guys.
Also use a clear done over the seeds when you put them into the soil mix to help keep the humidity high. They don’t get water roots to well after the tap root sets so just spray light every couple of hours with a spray bottle.
The dome can be a plastic cup or zip lock bag or even a cut off water bottle. You’ll want to lift it a couple times a day for fresh air.
My guess is over-watered with the wrong pH water may have done them in.
That mix also contains fertilizer and that can be tough on sprouts. Consider using a seedling starter soil or organic potting soil with perlite.
Hello and I agree with everything @bob31 said and want to double down on the you really need to join the forum . When I first started a year ago I had smoked for 20 years quit when my kid was born and started again last year for pain management by coming here so I could learn to grow . Long story short I would have failed at several different points in more than one grow without this community. Im on my 4th grow and if I read on here for 15 minutes I learn something or see a way of doing something that looks cool. Anyhow Bob gave perfect advice goodluck hope to see you around
The 600 watt L E D is way to bright for your G.S.C seedlings. even though your Chronic Widow seem to do just fine they are two different strains just the same. @bob31 gave you perfect info. I’m just adding something that you should consider…YOUR .LIGHTING

T5 grow lights are one of the most easily available types of grow lights and are used to grow many different types of plants. As a result, they’re available in many garden and home improvement stores.
T5s are much bigger/wider than CFLs and usually come as part of a panel, but they can still be kept mere inches away from your plants without worrying about burning them.
These cannabis plants are thriving under T5 grow lights
