Chemdawg Skywalker and Black Widow strains Organic

I could be wrong, I am not a college graduate but I have been reading a lot about this kind of growing. From what I can gather to understand it in my mind is that when you use synthetic fertilizers, you essentially kill the soil, and the plant feeds off the nutrients you give it. But in organics you feed the soil, you don’t kill it, and the plant feeds off the living soil. So in understanding that, I figure if I am going to kill the soil with synthetics then why have soil? Grow hydro. Well like I said , to me it is a new way of looking at it, who knows I might be with Foxfarms again next year. I heard some bad things about them too, like Monsanto has bought into it somehow. Oh well , Happy Growing and thanks for joining in and maybe we all can learn something, The horticulture guy said this is the stuff you need, only I can screw it up.

Geez by the sounds of this at almost 63 you had better hurry and grow and harvest or I may miss it. lol I found to have great results with the GH Flora series with cal-mag and koolbloom liquid and changing to dry koolbloom the last week. I’ll be following along. Here’s my current hydro grow along with one Happy Frog in soil. All were started the same day and are at day 38 of Veg.

I see that you have a Community Birthday coming up in April on the 18th. That’s Awesome.
I’m Garrigan65 and I would be more than happy to help you along the way. Sounds to me you have a great outlook on growing and trust me it will have a even greater effect on your life as well.
If your interested I could show you how to make your own soil mix and Micro serum for your plants where you would only have to water and watch them grow. Thaa=t’s all I do know. But only if your up for is and the best thing is that you can use the same soil over and over again so your cost will go down not up every grow.

Any way i’ll be watching

Will

Thank you sir, I know I will be interested in making the soil mix in the near future, been busy and thought this , " just cut open top of bag and grow right out of it " mix oh and by the way throw in some of these liquid nutrients along the way, but as long as it is organic I want to compare.

Thank you for the tag. I’ve used the Roots Organic Seabird guano as a flowering supplement/tea along with other guano types. I use EB Stone Organic soil mix to grow Mary Jane.

I have some ILGM Skywalker beans, going to grow one or two soon…

When I grow in soil, I don’t fertilize the ladies until they get bigger, maybe 6-8 weeks old, or older depending on what’s in the soil.

Happy growing!

I use Promix mixed with perlite and about 20% FFHF, Earth Juice Originals, a few other organic nutes, and lots of microbes.

Keep your microbe herd happy, and your plants will love you. :grinning:

Don’t go crazy chasing your pH with organics. You definitely want your pH in the safe range, but that range will tend to be bigger with organics and a good microherd. :grinning:

Start out with the smallest recommended doses and work up. :grinning:

Looking forward to watching!

Thx Betty, You got a mix going there, Probably just like ffof , don’t go crazy with the food right off the bat, the pH is tricky, I have experimented around with air stone overnight and can change pH , and also there is organic pH up and down.,., but like everything experience is the best teacher.

The schedule from Roots Organics has me throwing the food at it right away, I am going to wait a bit, watch the plants and hope I don’t screw up something.

The HF has waaay less starting nutes in it, and I used so little of it. Mixing a mere 20% of into my usual mix worked well.

I started in solely the Promix, so I still had to start feeding w/in one week.

That Roots Organic Green Fields has quite a few goodies in it, lots of ocean products. Here’s a comparison of your product vs. FFOF, and a side-by-side of the products I’m using. Even with the HF, you’ll see my mix is fairly cool. That’s why I chose it: to keep the benefits of the Promix, but add just barely enough organic matter to make the organic nutes work more efficiently in a mostly inert medium. The microbes help, too.

I’m at week 12 now on this current grow. Looking forward to seeing how the Roots Nutes work for you. I’ve been looking at them, myself.
