The “volcano” of the female indicators on these two fem seeds are prevalent. Every known fem seed I’ve looked at (4) has had this form. I dropped what I thought were 4 females but none of the NL were as deep as these two.

Well I was going to drop only 2 NL but with finding my little Bomb was male I culled and now have the room for a 3rd NL. They are in 10/1 water peroxide mix in 2x2 tent germinating. No lights but heat an humidity exhausted from big tent into small one
@SausageMahoney all 3 of the seeds I dropped in the water all have that “volcano” spot on them hopefully they are all female.

I dropped 4 seeds in peroxide and added some distilled water. They’re in the dark in my lung room near the heater. Tomorrow afternoon they’ll go in paper towels until they crack.

I should have had 4 soaking by now, but we got stuck staying at my in-laws for new years. So it’ll be this evening.

On Sunday or Monday, I will drop 6 seeds hoping for 2 or 3 female.
Hoping to minimize the overlap with my current grow which is a couple of weeks into flower.
I will start them in the main room with the flowering plants (11/13). When they sprout, I will move them to one of the tents (18/6) until the main room is ready for the next grow.

Dropped 4 hoping to get at least 1 lady in the bunch. Sprout to seedling has always been a challenge for me. Seeds crack and get tails but transferring to soil afterwards is a bust at times, hopefully no issues this time.

Tapped all 6 down this morning. Everyone sank. Prepped propagation tray with coco and Jacks. Waiting on some tail… pun intended

Not even 24 hours later almost all have tails. I’ll wait till all have tails then off to nursery bags.

Do you guys put nutes into your medium before transferring the seeds or plain RO/tap water? Was thinking about wetting with jacks I have made up. I think i saw someone else do that as well.

4/2 +silica, no epsom.

Perfect, that’s the formula I use minus the silica. I’ll give it a go tonight when i plant them.

I’ve considered buying silica but no idea what one to get. My last grow was awesome without using any but wondering if it could have been better with some.

Same here. I just look for people using the same plan as me (100% coco and Jacks), and try to replicate what they are doing.

I add a cup of epsom salt in 10gal of Happy frog. When I put my germinated seeds in soil I’m gonna initially water the soil with distilled water with a small amount of honey or aloe.

We all are to some degree haha. I’ve only got one grow under my belt, so I’m far from being in the know everything camp.

Just reading through the conversation with @SausageMahoney and I’d advise against loading your starter soil with a full load of any fertilizer. Seedlings are very susceptible to excesses and typically have the goods within themselves for the start. Once they’re established a bit most go at 1/4 to 1/2 strength on their nutes as a caution. Jmho
