I am on well water. I’ve been generally adding 1tsp of vinegar to reduce from 7.0 down 6.5. It’s been taking more to get it down lately. I was thinking the vinegar was getting old. Got a new bottle and its dawned on me that the pH of my well water is increasing. Now checking pH of water before and after any additions. Thinking you have things down to a science discounts any variability in your input sources. These changes could occur in any item we are adding to any substrate or the base itself. I’ve got a greater appreciation for checking everything all the time when dealing with nature.
Yes our well water fluctuates through out the yr also, and @DanB posted what I use. Does not take much!
@Bentstick I’ve been paying attention and learning from the knowledge you and others have been passing down. Even to brands and products that are test proven to work.
Looking good, and my knowledge base is still growing yr by yr, outdoor was my 3rd grow, and going to my 3 rd indoor still getting legs under me.
There is a grow companion app called growing with jane that is excellent at helping record inputs and outputs as well as much more for each plant in your tent. Should check it out for keeping track off all your notes for each grow.
I always test and record readings for each and every input and resulting output for each plant. Very useful in diagnostics if plant goes south.
Will do. Thanks!
Wow! Didnt know that. I have been writing these things down for over a year now lol
Good 2 know!
