Vinegar in my well water to bring the Ph level down

Hey gang! So I live in the country……sorta lol and I have well water. The Ph level of the water is pretty high. I did some research and found out that vinegar will bring those levels down, but is it harmful to my plant. So that’s my question. Is vinegar harmful to plants?

How much do you actually need per gallon to get in range? Vinegar straight would obviously be detrimental but are you talking eye dropper amounts? Test on a house plant lol. Or your lawn…. I’ve also seen vinegar moves ph.

I use white vinegar for PH down, have for years. My well is around 6.8 and low ppm, by the time I mix my nutes, it only takes a teaspoon or so th bring mine to 5.8.

Im on a well ph is usually 8-8.5 It goes up after I put silica to around 9 Then I mix my nutrients. That brings the ph down to around 7 then I add vinegar 1 to 2 mil at a time then shake and test. Shooting for 6.2-6.4

I think thats diluted enough. I was using a tablespoon to bring our well water (7.0pH) down to 5.8 for awhile. Bought some pH up/down. Still have vinegar on my table though. I believe you can use baking soda to raise it? Just keep an eye on your numbers. Our well water fluctuates.

If you use the search bar :up_arrow: I was able to locate a lot of information from growers in here who’ve previously used it. I bet if you plow through some of the threads you’ll get a ton of useful info.
