Canopy so dense

I topped her a few days ago in hopes of stretching out a bit wider. Well it just keeps exploding in the center. Is she too young (3 weeks today) to trim? I feel like much of the interior is not getting light. 1st grow ever so learning as much as I can. It’s do si dos auto.

Trim as necessary to maintain good airflow within the plant’s canopy. Taking too much off is detrimental.

Plant looks fine. I would not remove any leaves.

Putting scissors away for now. Getting SF2000 light delivered today(oh boy). Should be enough for two plants, right? Also have a 12 day old Purple Punch auto that started later than do si dos.

The SF2000 is a decent 200 watt light that will minimally flower 1 plant. One well-lit plant will outperform 2 poorly lit plants.

The small branches will grow past those big ol fans withing the next couple/few days.

Try some LST, spread the plant out. The purpose of LST is creat an even canopy so all the future bud sites receive equal lighting :love_you_gesture:

That light will will flower a 5 to 6 sq’ space. You cannot give any amount of wattage as proper per plant. The correct way is to size your light to your grow tent or space in which your trying to flower. 35 to 40w per sq ft will satisfy any flowering requirements. I have used anywhere from 140 to 700w to flower one plant, only difference is the size of the footprint.

@OGIncognito
Is this Neublas way? I have two ilgm photo blue dream beans I’ll be dropping Sunday. I’m really thinking about doing Neublas way to fill a 4~4 tent. Also sneaking in an auto into the mix as well. Wait for the auto to fully finish before even thinking about the flip.

No this a more like a modified manifold. The 3rd and 4th nodes are left on this plant.

This was a Nebulas Manifold from a few years back. Gorilla Glue auto

Let them grow to the outside of your pots till you let them go vertically?

I let the branches get rigid then remove the ties. I keep them pinned down until enough growth is established to switch to soft tie wires :love_you_gesture:

Im no where near a expert but i do have a little experience on how to safely clip off leaves without messing with the grow just make sure your plants are in the right conditions and only clip right after watering so it makes them more busy on drinking and breathing and they wont even notice they are missing leaves, the two plants i actually topped in week 3 of veg grew taller and more vigorous then the lower two I’ll show you them in the pictures but first below the first pic is the start , that’s really when you want to clip big fan leaves and bending down branches to expose the middle with light i like to tie my main branch of my seedlings to one side (once they can handle it) and keep them there for at least half the grow so when need to be tied down it’s easier to the middle , it also makes the back stems opposite to which you tied the main branch with loop up with the light. You can start some lst by going in your tent every 4 hours and bending random stems and playing with your plants. The whole sum of it is getting more main colas (big bud producing stems) evenly enough to get the same amount of light distribution that the top would increasing yield. Also if anything make sure that ph is always on check and don’t over water , you gotta sorta tease them with water so they are always praying to the light.

Now they are 3ft tall even though i bent the main stem multiple ways making it shorter so just be consistent in taking care of the conditions

Here she is 12 days later than first pic in this thread. Just starting flower phase and drinking alot now. Not many nutes yet, just a molasses dose and a coffee grounds top dress a week ago. Thinking to back off nitrates at this point and do some P and K more now. Do I need to do cal/mag or is that just to fix a problem? Bought some Epsom but not sure if or when to use it. Using a mix of declorinated tap and spring water adjusted to 6.6ph for some natural minerals.

Forgot to mention it’s in 40% ffof and 40% coco with 20% perlite.
