As I enter flower, I’d like to eventually add a bloom booster to my Canna Part A and Part B.
I’ve been using Fox Farm Beastie Bloomz and Ch Ching for years when I grew in soil. Being a dry nute, I’m not sure it would be compatible with Autopots.
So I’m looking at Canna p/k 13/14.
Anyone use it?
It’s been many years but I thought pretty highly of the canna base nutrients, boost, and cannazym. I thought the rhizontonic was alright but not necessarily best bang for the buck for intended use. The pk 13/14 was the only product from them that I would say was not only useless but seemed to cause more problems than did anything good.
You can tweak your npk ratios a little by changing the ratio of a to b when mixing your base nutrients and/or using the cannaboost. Part b and cannaboost both contain monopotasium phosphate which is the main ingredient in beastie bloomz and canna pk 13/14. Cha ching has somewhat similar npk ratio but is a completely different product makeup. The ff dry stuff is water soluble so should be fine if mixed properly too.
As I said, I’ve been using FF Beastie Bloomz and Ch Ching for years. But it was always in soil. The results were obvious.
But even though this present grow seems to be doing fine, I’m still taking baby steps with the Autopots. No deficiencies. No problems.
I’ve got bottles of Beastie Bloomz and Ch Ching. I wonder if I could simply add a 1/4 strength dose of Beastie Bloomz to my Canna Part A and Part B to my next reservoir refill, and let it go at that? From there, pH it accordingly and add it?
Interesting observation since I began using Canna Part A and Part B with CalMag. Using tap water, add nutes, mix with a paint mixer attachment for a hand drill. Allow to sit an hour, then run a pH. Almost every time my pH is perfect. 5.5-5.7.
