Hi everyone,
I was thinking of switching to an organic line of nutes because I don’t like the way my buds taste after harvest. With minimal flushing I’m hoping bio nutes will produce better tasting buds. I grow in coco and I don’t think that’s going to change anytime soon, my question is can Canna Bio Vega and Flores work in coco since coco is an inorganic medium? Do these nutes need the microbes in the soil to work or can they work without microbes like in the case of coco?
Also if Canna Bio works in coco, will it produce as much yield as inorganic nutes?
I meant inorganic in the sense that its an inert medium. A form of hydroponics. It doesn’t breakdown or decompose and microbial activity is at a minimum. The coco brick I get locally aren’t treated with any organic stuff like microbes or enzymes which makes me wonder if organic nutes will work in this medium. Thanks
@skinnieboi10 how ya been, haven’t seen you around in a while!
Don’t know about coco,but I know others😎
That can help! @Donaldj@Majiktoker@Hogmaster I can’t remember the members that grow coco🙃
I’ve been good. Just been under the radar since my blueberry mainline grow went south. I popped two white widow seeds right after. Unfortunately one hermied up. I just harvested half of the good plant at week 10. Going to harvest the other half in a week time. I’ve got 10 WW clones and one clone from the blueberry kush waiting to flower. I’ll probably start a journal for them in a month or so. Thanks man.
Hi @skinnieboi10 I grow in both soil and coco, I use Canna Terra Vega, Cannaboost accelerator and 13/14 …with some other stuff…for the different stages of the grow. Haven’t tried the Bio. I’m pleased with the results and don’t really notice a weird taste or anything, a few flushes before harvest should take care of that. Just like anything marked “bio”, make sure your getting the real deal and you’really not just paying more because something is marked “bio”.
I grow in coco. No perlite or soil mixes added, just straight up coco. As long as Canna Bio works for you in coco I don’t see why it shouldn’t work for me. Thanks a lot.
Maybe I wasn’t real clear…a problem sometimes. I grow in either coco OR soil, not together, although sometimes I’ll start a seedling in coco and than transfer it to soil when it starts growing. I do use 50/50 coco perlite, and I have NEVER used the Canna Bio, just the other products I mentioned…sorry if I mixed you up a bit.
I cut down half of my white widow a few days into flush. I dried the buds for 5 days and put em in a jar. They been in the jar for less than 24 hours though. The high is really good but it leaves a long and nasty after taste after smoking. I know its because I cutting too early in flush but will curing in the jar reduce this bad taste?
Canna makes a specific line for coco, although I’m not sure if it would be organic or not. But I haven’t seen or heard a bad review about it.
If you decide to go with any of them I would make sure to grab the canna boost too. It’s pricey, but one of the ingredients is very uncommon and has a really good reputation.
All things considered, I agree with others about the taste. Curing properly should help
