If your source water is RO water or distilled like you buy from store it will be fine to use without adjusting it unless your run off tests too high or too low. Ranges as stated is between 6.2 and 6.8 is good target for run off. If your tap water is used and needs adjusted go to store and canning section has citric acid $4-5 for enough for a very long time and will lower ph of water. Very little I mean very little is needed to adjust a gallon from like 8.0 down to 6.5 about 1/4 of a 1/4 Tsp measuring spoon.
You really can’t test RO or distilled water with PH meter as there aren’t enough dissolved solids like calcium etc and really isn’t necessary anyway.
Worms are great to use in soil as well as worm castings as an amendment.

Basements seem to work best for me as it is easier and cheaper to control heat cold humidity pretty much year round

Unfortunately you cant just feed those nutrients to a plant without adjusting the pH. As you said, it will kill the plants.
Planting outside, in ground or containers, is a perfectly good way to grow. Be sure to place them in a spot they receive as much direct sun during the day as possible, but also in a spot theyll be protected from light sources during the night.
Cannabis is pretty resilient when it comes to weather.

My basement has mold and floods sometimes so I have to use my second bedroom or the upstairs kinda like a attic
Main floor would be easier to regulate temp than upstairs.

I ceep my hole house at about 72 but I’ll have to buy a tent was just going to make the hole room a grow room about 160 square feet
Perfect temp for them. No changes needed then. The light you grow into will add heat.

My first indoor was a year and a half ago and have grown about 30-40 plants to harvest so far.
My basement has flooded in the past usually only an inch or so and I’m sure I have mold/mildew as well but hasn’t been an issue.
I built platforms using 2x4 (4” on edge for added height) and plywood for the tents…so far haven’t had any water come in but am ready if it does.
My journal shows what I did.
