Thankyou cody didn’t know to do that I will be doing that from now on
You’re in the right spot. Let that soil dry in between, but not too much, transplant into better soil when it’s time. You’ll be golden.
When will it be time I’m going to keep u guys updated and post a pic once a week and should I ceep it at soil or get pebbles what would you guys get to transplant it to if it was your plant
The fox farm that was mentioned will help you. It already has the right nutrients to start, so you dont have to worry about that right away.
This is one of the most popular cannabis soils growers use.
There is a store locator on the website. You should be able to find it locally.
Any soil with fertilizers already added will just give you problems.
You dont want anything that says on the bag things like “Feeds 6 months”
Ok great and do I have to worry about venting right now and fans or wait till its budding
Fans help make it stronger. Smell becomes strong during flowering. Fresh air is very good for plants.
Ok thank you so much I’ll have to get that should I put it In a smart pot
I would use some sorta fabric grow bag.
Ok thanks when should I do this
It really depends on the soil it is in and what was put in that soil. It’s hard to know. If it’s bad, a real quick transplant would be advised. If it’s not toxic to the plant, just fix your watering and you can wait a while, but without drainage holes be careful.
I just found a worm in the pot I have no idea how it got there that’s gotta be bad right? I’m gonna order all of this stuff and transplant it asap
There is an awesome grower on this site that always has worms
So put it back in the pot?
Not sure if this was covered but you have to have drainage holes in the container or it will die…drill some 1/4” holes in the bottom of the container ASAP depending on the size pot it’s in will determine how many and moving forward with any container you need drainage holes…if you do get a fabric pot then the fabric allows excess water to drain so no holes needed. You’ll wan to put a saucer underneath the container too.
Let the plant dry out a little. In another 2 weeks or so transplant into fox farms ocean forrest soil. I prefer cloth bags, but plastic containers are fine. At some point youll need to consider where that plant will live. Itll quickly outgrow the trash barrel.
They need to get fresh air and not be confined. Itll also need complete (absolutely zero light of any type) darkness for 12 hours/day when flowering.
Ok I’ll do that now
I was going to move it out back when it gets nicer but I’m in ohio and the weather always changes rapidly so I was thinking about turning my upstairs into a grow room black out the windows and put a few fans in it but dont know what I’m doing but I’m in construction and know how to remodel a house I just dont know exactly what to do for the plants and how to do the ventilation without getting caught oh and I used the fox farm plant food bottle on my last plant 2 days after it was dead so I was trying to stay away from it but I probably did it wrong
Filters with activated charcoal inside attached to powerful inline ductwork type fans are a popular way to control smell.
