I found some males or hermies all from one strain seed i found in some nuken? I dont see any pollen and i dont think sacs broke open. Plants are in veg for a month or so. Do i need to worry that my plants that im sure are female may have been pollinated by the nuken hermies/ males?
I would not worry so much as I would remove the male and hermie plants as soon as I identify them as such. If the pollen sacks open, then yes the females in the area will be pollenated. The pollen is carried on the wind and on your clothing, therefore plants that are not near by can also be pollenated.
I needed a magnifying glass just to see them. They were small and i saw no yellow or white shit and i removed all plans from that genetics. I hope ive done enough and caught it on time.
You should not need a magnifying glass to see the male pollen sacks unless you have difficulty seeing small objects in general. I would say that the pollen sacks that I have seen are easily identifiable with the naked eye so long as I have my glasses on and likely with them off as well. I can’t read normal text without my glasses.
I think i caught them early or my eyes might suck.lol. They were super small but im sure i saw the lil stem with balls. If im not mistaken amles grow a lil different than females. Like the spacing and structure are a lil different. Seems subtle but do i see a difference?
Did you have a chance to take any photographs?
Post them if you did.
Females will grow bracts/calyxes at the nodes early on. At first they just look like a tiny ball. If they’re small enough you needed a magnifying glass, there’s no risk even if they are male. It’s way too early for pollen at that size. If you haven’t destroyed them, try to get some pics.
Looks like i disposed of one female but shit happens. The ones with the clusters of balls are males right?
A couple of them are difficult to tell for certain but most of them certainly look like male plants.
You may have caught them just in time too. They look close to popping open and releasing pollen all over the place.
Am i sexing these right do u think. I do see one plant which is 2 or 3 pics is prob a female but most look like male. I just want to be able to sex these things with confidence
And what do i look for with my remaining females in veg that were beside these males?
The couple that I think that you are referring to may be a bit early to determine gender with certainty.
Female calyx will have a pistil (white hair) or two sticking out of the top.
