It looks like it’s just the leaves that are at the bottom of the plant. I’m going to guess that it’s just the leaves which may have come into contact with the soil at some point during their life - those tend to decay more rapidly and take on very unusual appearances. Once they’re removed, the plant is generally happy.
As an aside, I’m going to emphasize how important it is to not water a plant because it’s drooping. Overwatering causes droop more often than any other possible issue with a plant. Get used to the weight of your bigger pot when it’s fully watered, and the feel of the pot when it’s gotten so dry your plant is beginning to wilt (different than a droop, I’ll try to find photos). You should only water when the pot is dry and light. The difference in weight is pretty dramatic, you will know when it’s dry enough.
Probably don’t let things get that extreme, but especially since you’re going to bigger pots now, it’s going to take a bit to acclimate to when/how much to water.
I’ll get off my pedestal now I bet you have it down fine, I just feel the need to say it so anyone passing through gets that advice too.
I had the same thing on like three leaves early on
was nothing that affected mine.
I know I’m new and hopefully I am not speaking out of turn just a ‘my perspective so far’ observation
Yes, it is just those leaves. All other leaves are good and new growth is still happening.
I have only watered twice in their few weeks, first time was 4 days after the doses were removed and next was when they were transplanted using the advice of Merlin and his techniques. I watered heavy on the transplant so I will probably give it a week or two before they get water next.
I love the weight technique for watering and definitely noticed the weight difference in the cups when they needed water. I’m sure once I get used to feeling the weight of these I will be transferring to the 7 gal pots lol.
I am super impressed you grew that huge plant in that tiny solo cup.
I appreciate you jumping in and sharing your knowledge with us.
Definitely not speaking out of turn. I appreciate you sharing that you’ve dealt with similar and it turned out ok, helps put my mind at ease. This is my first grow so every little thing that doesn’t look “normal” is scary lol
I’m of a mind then that you can pluck those lower ones and be in perfect shape.
It’s always my pleasure to drop in, it wasn’t that long ago I was brand-ass new myself. I’ll never stop paying forward the kindness I received here, so feel free to tag me into anything as questions arise.
Thanks Merlin! I am honestly blown away how much they’ve grown and changed in such a short amount of time. It’s so addicting to go out and look at them lol
Another week down! I have some FF dry nutes coming in tomorrow and was trying to hold off on watering…was hoping to transfer to 7 gallon pots and feed all in one shot but the leaves are drooping and the pots were light so I gave them some water today. It is going to be a warm day in Cali today and with them being the garage it gets even warmer.
You can see the difference in the auto from one week, it’s super crazy. Not sure if I need to LST more…?
I have also switched up my growing plan. I am going to keep the auto and one photo in my shed which is insulated. The other two photos will be grown outside as I want to see the difference in the grows. We are close to about 13 hours of sunlight a day right now and the plants are currently on a 18/6 schedule. I will need to figure out how to handle this switch and not trigger flowering.
