Oh my bad, I thought we were on the root problem @Missiles

Lol I think it’s all tied in

Hopefully the root problems are solved - should have gone with pot socks from day #1

Pot socks are the way to go, I thought about the same @Covertgrower but the pot socks make it so much easier and better.
I’ll probably get some myself going forward.

How big is your Res @DVM? I figured the AN would preform well, mine does okay maybe moves a point per day in the small Res and just dialing in the big res

60L but I normally throw the last 10L or so away - don’t want it running out.

Not an autopot guy, but I wouldn’t let burnt tips deter you. Feed those ladies

They were looking hungry last night, fresh reservoir today, Cal-Mag (1ml/L) stepping up the A&B (2ml/L) and full strength Big Bud (2ml/L). For a total of 1000ppm

Day 16 since the flip, the clones are definitely hungry but the much larger mothers don’t seem to be.

The clones still look hungry, numerous fan leaves are now yellowing :frowning: The weird thing is the yellowing starts with the leaf veins and then spreads out - most of the deficiency guides I see on line show it the other way round

The mother plants are looking great, same tent, same nutrients, same everything (and these are the mothers of the clones)

Yesterday I doubled the Cal-Mag to 2ml/L for a total ppm of 1250. Checked the reservoir tonight, ppm 1250 and pH 5.9

Any ideas?

Another day, another Aquavalve leak :frowning: I found the faulty valve and replaced it but still had to mop up nearly 30L of nutrient solution. I have new silicon rubber pads on order, when they arrive I will replace all of them. Some of the silicon pads in my Aquavalves look a little used.

The clones continue to look sickly, since I had to drag them out to clean up I thought I would flush them. The run off had a slightly lower ppm (800) but higher pH (6.5-6.7). I also gave them a medium defoliation while I was there. Maybe this is the fix, otherwise I’m out of ideas.

The mothers continue to look great, the only difference is the mothers have air domes in their pots. Could this be making such a big difference?

Clones after flush and a medium defoliation:

Mothers looking awesome:

That sucks, plants looking good still

New silicone pad 45c, not mopping out the grow tent (again) priceless

Day 24 and I think the clones are looking happier. Maybe it was the double ration of Cal-Mag maybe it was the flush, I don’t know but they do look better and there’s no new yellowing leaves. They have also started to come back from Friday’s defoliation

I gave the mothers the same treatment, to try and improve airflow and light

I got a bigger heater as I have noticed temps as low as 16C during lights out, took a bit of rearranging to get it in there. So far it seems to have done the trick, one hour after lights out and my temps are steady at 22C.

I have a logging tool for the Spartan 6 environment controller, it was expensive for what it is - $70 for an USB-RS485 and a crappy Windows only app. It is nice to be able to get logs though and remote control of the environmental settings is neat. If I can figure out how to get Node-Red to drive the RS485 adapter …

Knocked the lights out temp down to 20C

Got it working …
