This is my first grow so would like any and all advice. This is about 18 days from sprouting and I have noticed the tips of a few leaves look like they have burnt? Wondering what that could be from. Grandaddy Purp Autoflower.
They are in 5 gallon buckets, Mother Earth soil, they are on about a 12/12 cycle but will be increasing to 18/6 here soon.
The little first set of cotyledon (little round) leaves contain all of the nutrients a plant needs until the cotyledons have yellowed. At that point most soils contain sufficient nutes for 4 to 6 weeks from the most recent transplant.
The best way to manage nutrients is to use a PPM meter to measure the nute level in your runoff water. The plant should not be fed until the runoff PPM is at or below 1,000. After that the PPM should be maintained at ~1,000.
Get yourself some mosquito bits to apply to the top soil, it will kill off the fungus gnats in a few weeks. Be sure to apply a little to every plant in your house including all the house plants.
You can order them, or get them from almost every big box store.
