Bugs close to harvest?

Hey growmies! So I have an Afghan Autoflower that’s in the home stretch (13 wks old and in week 8 of flowering). In the last week I’ve noticed a few little bugs (I think spider mites and possibly thrips). Not an infestation and plant still seems to be healthy (and I removed all the affected leaves that I saw), but I’m wondering if I should start the flushing and harvest process sooner than I planned so the bugs don’t have the chance to get worse. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Harvesting too early will equate to useless bud. So I think you’d be much better served adressing the bug issue perhaps with some Captain Jacks Dead Bug and reap the rewards of a full reall harvest.

Jack’s dead bug spray can be used right up to harvest. Start now though. @HeyJB said it all.

If I use it now will I have to do a bud wash?

A bud wash is suggested when you have to spray your flowers. It also rinses away bug feces.

Much appreciated…the Captain Jack’s will be here in the morning and I’ll start getting set up to do the bud wash for when I harvest. Any preference between baking soda/lemon juice vs. peroxide? I’ll prolly use Bergman’s method unless there’s a better way…

I just do 5 gallons water with a cup of peroxide. Then I rinse with the shower soaker and drip dry outside for an hour or 2.

Thanks again for all the help y’all! I just did my first spray of the premixed Captain Jack’s. Anything else I should do? Also, how long should I wait before spraying again?

And how will I know it’s working? Lol
