Going on week 3.5 of flower. Buds are starting to have a ass smell. The stem smells like cannabis. Is this normal?

I’d fill out a ticket if it isn’t strain related. A lot of factors go into terpene production. Which is where you’re gonna get your aromas. That and crazy Rh.

It might be a little to early to do this but rub a thinner branch and smell your fingers and you might get a bitter version of your end Terps if they’ve started developing yet

its the nutrients more than likely. I sometimes like to flood/flush (using soil medium) my crop with pure water and let it all drain out. I thought it was my dog that farted that’s how stink the smell was, however i then noticed the smell coming from the runoff water. So it is possible it could be in the soil is where the bad “ass” aroma is coming from. Have a good one…
@shaggy808 it’s definitely coming from the bud and I’m using dwc. The water and roots have a little smell but it’s not ass.

Have a picture of your roots? Smells like ass isn’t automatic alarm, there is a strain called cat piss via the smell. But before we tell you everything is fine I would like to have all of the info.
