Budget Grow lights for 10x10

I need help with lights. I currently run HLG but want something less expensive for a 10x10. Any recommendations? Thank you!

check out the bloomspect SS series. on amazon they have some great deals. samsung 301 diodes and meanwell drivers. i don’t use them personally but have seen others use them with good results.

Photontek or lumatek are great brands. I believe photontek is the USA brand and lumatek is for the :uk:.

Kingbrites all the way, a couple of. Us are using them now.

Best bang for your buck and very good output. Cheaper then spider farmers even and way better.

Love my hlg but kingbrites all the way for me. Hoping to get another 320xl if I can offload some buds.

Good call @Bulldognuts

Cool what size would you recommend?

What are opinions on the spider farmer SF4000? Or mars hydro?

Depends on your tent size.
Mars hydro is junk don’t buy anything from them.
Spider farmer is okay but it’s over priced for what it is, no reason not to get a kingbrite. It’s cheaper and better.
110-130w of true Wattage per plant. Roughly speaking.

For a KingBrite in a 10x10, I’d get 4 of these.

King Brite is what Nicky uses. For lights in order of best to worst from my knowledge
Hlg
PLC
Rayon
Spider farmer
King Brite
Enfun
Mars hydro

I’m sure there r some in betweeners but for the most talked about and used I’d say these. If u can avoid Mars hydro do so. SF is way better of a light but a bit more expensive. Look at hlg site and see what they have for refurbished light. Usually quite a bit cheaper on the pocket
Just try and stick with lights that have samsung ln301h or b chips and meanwell or inventronics drivers good luck keep us posted as u set up this new space we all love watching new grows start and finish.

You can maybe get away with 2 hlg 600s if you don’t mind your edges being skimpy I also just saw Mars hydro is selling their bigger lights in 301b chips so it could be a better deal to get 2 Mars hydro 800 w in 301b an have slightly better coverage but if you want true 10x10 coverage you’d need closer to 4 of each of those

After watching my brother return 2 garbage SF2000’s in less than 3 months last year, and considering the Mars Hydro TSW2000 that he bought 3rd is still producing fine bud I’d have to disagree. The one he bought from Amazon was an easy return . . . the other from some grow shop he found online wasn’t so simple. The Spider Farmers are definitely prettier fixtures but I’d take the stamped tin looking reflector of Mars over it any day.

I have a TSW2000 as well, and mistakenly recommended the Spider Farmer SF2000 to him over it because of statements like that. I still use a couple of odd lights (Barrina, Mars Hydro) over the strawberries and tomatoes but the main weed light I use is now an HLG Scorpion RSPEC. I plan on ordering a pair of 200 Diablo’s for a 2x4 area I’m about to add after the Holidays . . .

Just my opinion based on personal experience . . . but honestly, @$199 each the HLG 200 Diablo’s are the best “budget” light out there.
