First time grower. Had a solid week of rain and high humidity. Now you see.it. I have fungicide to use. I am having a panic attack. Its close to harvext time. Heres pics.
Peroxide and airflow are your friends.
Cut out the affected parts. They won’t recover.
I have a fungicide Growers Ally. Should i go ahead and spray the plant? I removed the bad bud and will inspect the othrrs.
I’m not familiar with the product. It can’t hurt so long as it is safe to use during flowering.
Don’t spray! Just peel the rot out and inspect for caterpillars. Check the entire plant and monitor daily until you find and kill all the buggers. Goodluck on yer harvest. Nice buds…
Cut the rotted bud off 1" at least below rot spray with Peroxcide and water mix, alcohol siccors right after cutting and do not touch any other part until you sanitize hands and anything that that bud touches, Catapillers are not the only thing causes rot to much moisture/dew/rain just plain wet and no time to completely dry out is one of the biggest rot issues.
Thanks ! I guess this old dog needs to learn some new tricks. I appreciate all the help. I.need it…
A lot of fungicides are plant based and can be used up until harvest. Purecrop1, Dr Zymes are what I use. Growers ally is safe to use during flower also. If thats what I had I’d use it. I’d cut out the bad spots and spray with peroxcide. Then a safe fungicide. Like was said above dont touch any other part of the plant or any other plants without cleaning your hands and scissors with alcohol first. That means cut out a bad spot then clean your scissors before cutting out another bad spot. If you have normal looking colas
with some dying leaves a few inches away from the tips of the colas check for caterpillars. That’s where they hang out. They get inside the buds and eat and poop. Eventually the bud starts dying from the inside out. If you pull on one of those dieing leaves and if come out without any resistance open the bud and youll most likely find a caterpillar.
