Personally, I wouldn’t use the light like that. The plastic case usually means is an ungrounded double insulated driver, so it relies on the case to be intact to maintain insulating properties.
As far as options, there may be an aftermarket driver that will fit in there. But it will require some wiring and possibly moving stuff around in the case to fit.

I’ve only been growing for about a year and a half. Started with a mars hydro 300, upgraded to a Spectrum King 140W almost a year ago, and now i’m building a rig much like this custom HLG 550 for my 4x4 space.
I’m using 4x 288.2s from Atreum (they come with heatsinks) and a HLG 480 series driver B with a dimmer. I want to have them all running in series and i’m debating running the SK140 in conjunction.
There’s some guys on this thread with real knowledge and i’d love some opinions if anyone has time!

So many questions about lights. I’ve decided on led. Full spectrum or quantum?
How big? I plan on a 4x4 tent at some point and and that is probably down the road so let’s say I want to grow 1plant.

what driver do i need if i rig a v2 qb324 and a v2 qb288 in series?
They’re both listed as 54v boards, so hlg-240h-c2100a.

That is exactly what it means, it will run both but not either alone. You asked to run them both in series right?
That driver is technically a 250 watt driver class. If you look at specs you posted above, 119v x 2.1a is 249.9 watts. That being said, both boards wont pull the full 54v each. I didn’t see fv data on the 323v2, but the 288v2 will be more like 49-50v at that current.
You’ll likely get a little more current out of the driver, and you’ll have the efficiency loss of the driver. It will probably be 260 watt light give or take.

Hlg told you that because the voltage is different, so you can’t run them in parallel. The voltage will vary based on operating current. So it’s not a matter of being 54v + 54v.
The driver model I gave you will run both in series. If you want to run them individually then you would need different drivers.
