Hi. This is a Bruce Banner photo in a five gallon pot. Fox Farm ocean potting soil.

What is the yellow spotting on the fan leaves?

Thanks.

she has big leaves that I think were nice at one time…so this might mean too much of something and that might be nutrients but you have to have a gut feeling here don’t you???

Too much light it looks like to me. What light and how high?

Can you post a picture of the entire plant please.

Its most likely a calcium deficiency. Your pH is low for soil and im unsure what you mean by the ppm is lower than the runoff pH.

Sorry. Ppm in is substantially less than the run off’s ppm. That’s what i meant. Thank you.

Ph for soil should be around 6.4 and adjusting that will probably fix alot of the problem before it gets worse and a little better ventilation will do you some justice as well

I thought the ph was too low. But how do you adjust the ph? Thanks.

I use general hydroponics ph up and ph down but you can do a search and find many options including household products

Adjust it before going in and know the ph and then check again on your run off

Me personally I don’t use ph down with ocean forest. It already has a low ph and adding ph down causes issues. Try regular tap and report back

I failed to mention this, but I’ve been using Fox Farm nutrients which have a low ph.

Not sure how to adjust the soil itself.

Try regular tap water that’s what I use

Your regular tap is 7.0 plus. As @Bluntsmoke mentioned just use tap to bring it up. Collect enough runoff to check ph and ppm…

But if i add more water won’t i dilute the nutrients too much and reduce their effectiveness?
