This is my 1st time growing BB strain. I was looking through some post to get an idea of what to expect and I noticed there are a lot of BB autoflower growers. My seeds are not autos. What’s the difference between the plants? I don’t mean autoflower. I’ve never gone with the autos just because of a lower THC level. I am amazed with how fat the fan leaves are. Looking forward to the end product. How is the density of these buds? I’ll probably clone some of my cuttings and give them to a buddy to grow outdoors. How will they do outdoors? Here’s a pic now 14 days old from germination. Growing medium is coco coir and pearlite with Jack 3-2-1 in a 3 gal.Rain Science planter.

I grow both and no difference in potency. I even tested an auto that came back at 29%

I have Bruce going right now but previous grow they were great love the smell and buzz will continue to grow. Both my autos and photos I treat them the same veg 18/6 4-6 weeks then flower 12/12 till the end.

The photo will veg until you flip the light to 12/12 The auto will flower automatically. After flower there pretty much the same.

That is one of the advantages, some more are, you can clone them, you can re-veg them if ya get a good phenotype you like.
I grow both autos and photos.
My autos are just as potent, however, I’ve never flowered a small photo simply because we control when they flower.
But I have had a few autos that have flowered small for whatever reason be it something i did or genetics.
But for the most part, todays auto’s are very comparable to photos…
This is a BB autoflower I have growing now, I know you ask for photo periods but i have no BB photos to show

I’ve seen aluminum foil used to cover the soil in some other grows. What is the reason?

for me it is to stop light from getting into the reservoir/tote to stop algae from growing

That’s interesting, I’ve never had that as an issue. I’m guessing you’re using a soil mix to grow in?
