That’s interesting, I’ve never had that problem. I’ve been using Jacks 3-2-1 with regular tap water for my last 3 grows and haven’t had that problem. I do have to keep my jug of mixed nutes in the dark or it will grow algae. I did buffer the coco coir with CalMag prior to growing.

that’s because you are growing in soil…only hydroponics growers are concerned with light getting into the reservoirs

Have you ever used Jack’s? This is my 3rd grow with it and it’s been great and really easy to use.
