Brown Leaves 3 Weeks into Flower

So I’m running these autos, first time ever growing… everything is going good considering the many mistakes I’ve made, like running 4 different strains in the same tent. Starting out with autos… dealing with humidity levels that won’t go down etc. This plant is ahead of the rest and is in third week or so of flower. I’ve noticed that a few leaves… maybe 15 or so, have random brown spots on them. I’ve searched throughout my grow for any signs of bugs and haven’t found any evidence so I’m going to assume this is some kind of deficiency. If anyone can point me to some ideas how to fix? I’m probably going to just cut these out and see if anything else pops up. I think this plant is about 3 weeks into flower… and I think it probably has 4 more weeks or so. The trichomes look pretty clear at this point.
No evidence of mold when using a 45x loupe. No signs of mites. I’m running these in 5 gallon pots with 70/30 from FoxFarms and using Advanced nutrients Cal/Mag… A/B, Big bud, and bud candy with each watering. Usually every other day. The other three plants ( also all different strains, show no brown anywhere on the leaves, but they are a little behind this one ).

Hey bud do ya have numbers for input and runoff tests.
The dark green with burned tips says fed high ppm or high nitrogen. But brown patch says phos deficiency. Interested in pH. Agreed not pests

Hey, thanks for the info! I have been Ph’ing to around 6. I haven’t tested runoff but I will do that tonight and report back. I never knew what to do with runoff numbers so I stopped checking. I guess now I know the importance. – I don’t have a ppm meter. I guess I need to get one from amazon. Not sure if any brand preference for those?

I see around forum pH pen should be good quality, TDS-ppm any brand works.

I was just looking at this chart… since I’m running FoxFarms 70/30 and using Advanced nutrients, I’m guessing I want to use the left side. What I’m wondering is how do I get all the nutrients with proper PH? Push close to 5.8 and hope that the plants will get enough Ca? I have to admit , there were times when I would PH to 6.4 and thought that was good enough. I definitely could have screwed this up not going low enough. Are these number for Run Off or the nutrient solution with water before? I PH my water to close to 6 like I said before but I don’t know if I was strict enough EVERY time. Never higher than 6.4 though

The numbers are for either. Your runoff will miss a bit. And you can mix your stuff a bit in the opposite direction

Yeah bring it 5.8 if you can.
I think those without ppm testing do best with water-feed-water-feed like that.
Can you get 2 gallons RO water or distilled or filtered. Next watering go til runoff with pure water til you collect a quart. Test its pH.

I forgot about this one. Me and a few soil growers let our ph run across that range thru flowering. Im ok going 6.4 for a while and if it drifts up to 6.8 I leave it there.
I dont remember seeing coco growers do that.

So I watered and my nutrient water mix was ph’d to 6.07 - Runoff on the flowering plant was 5.7, and for the other ones just slightly higher in the 5.80-5.88 range. I’ll try alternating water/feed days as now I’m starting see the need to water everyday as these plants are drinking a lot. I’ll start ph’ing both Nutrients water mix and water only to 5.8 and see if I can get this dialed in. I really appreciate all your help.

One last question. Does the runoff PH show us what the actual PH the plant is getting? So If I’m using the chart for guidance and say for example I need more Ca, then I would try to target the runoff on some watering to be below 5.8 regardless of the mix PH? Like no matter what the mix PH is, the runoff shows us where the PH for the plant is and then I can adjust depending on what direction I need to target?

Yeah and no, yes the runoff shows what the plant’s experiencing.
But that scale not sure what you mean. The ph6 you put in was dragged down to a 5.8 by whats in there. So I assume lower than 5.8 in there.
If your pH is 5.6 in the coco thats why the brown patches are there. Pure water would be good now to flush out extra salts that fix pH, and to get a good test.

Oh yeah and when or if ya do that flush in coco finish watering with either feeding with calmag or water with calmag so calcium is always in the medium
