Day 55 of first grow

These are supposed to both be WW autos (although the bigger one looks different than I’m used to seeing).

My leaves are browning and more fall off each week - is that normal toward the end? Still plenty of leaves left but they are all slowly starting to brown. I checked the ph of the fox farm nut + distilled water mix i feed them and it was 4.9 so I’ve ordered some ph up/down to adjust.

Do I have 15-20 more days of life in these plants so the flowers can harden and fatten up more? Thy look and smell great but I’d like them to grow more over the next couple weeks.

Any advice welcome!

4.9 ph is way to low! Your locking out almost all nutrients in the soil.

You’ll probably need to flush your soil but I’m going to call in some of the experts to weigh in.

You’ll want to measure your ph in the runoff after watering them as well. Just because your putting in 4.9- that isn’t necessarily the ph of the soil.

What about trimming the brown leaves to allow what’s left to get their nutes? No sense the brown/yellow leaves continuing to suck precious nutes. The brown/yellow ones can be juiced.

I think that the 4.9 is the pH of the nutrient mix going in, which is exactly what mine did. pH up and it is normal to loose some of the lower leaves, but I would still correct that pH issue. Your pistils are still pretty white and the good trichomes don’t really turn until most of the pistils have browned.

I’d get that pH fixed and take a look at your trichomes to get an idea of when she will be ready. My guess is that they are all very clear!

I’m with @bob31: get the ph up and I would focus on getting the runoff ph to 6.2 or so after so much time at low ph. You still have another month based on the photos so it would be good to deal with this now.

I agree with the others. Need to get your PH higher. That could be the issues with your brown spots.

It is typically for the leafs to yellow during flowering due to the plant not taking up as much nitrogen but I do not believe the brown spots as you are seeing is a normal occurance. Because your PH is off the plants might not be taking up all the nutrients they need to due to the PH being too low.

I also think at this point soil ph is more important to get in range, or at least verify that it’s not too far off.

I concur with the rest check the ph of soil

I could really use some advice on what to do next! Day 63 from seed photos below. I’ve been unable to stop the fan leaves and some of the smaller leaves from browning up and dying. I’ve been ph balancing water and nutes recently to 6.3 - 6.8 but should it be higher if runoff is lower? For FF nutes, I’ve never gone above maybe 1/3rd the recommended dose.

The good news is that the flowers are incredibly frosty. Most of the pistils are still white on one plant with 30-40% amber on the other plant.

To my untrained eye, most trichomes under a scope appear clear or cloudy. Very few if any are amber.

I’m trying to figure out how much more time I have before harvest for fattening up the buds and when I should stop nutes and start flushing.

Based on this info and the photos, any advice?

Thanks!

Looks like she is putting out new pistils too. You surely want more milky than clear or I would say mostly milky. I’d keep checking every three days or so. She wants to fatten up a little more! @Badj

I’m with @bob31 she appears to be putting out new pistols and yes if runn off ph is lower than the min 6.3 water with a higher ph to get run off up
