Branch partially snapped

Hey everyone, so I did an oppsy. I was going to move a main branch(not the main one thankfully) back to give the smaller ones more light and I heard a crack. I looked down at the base where it connects to the main stem it and saw it snapped about 1/3-1/2 through. I immediately pressed it back up, proppered it, then tied it to the main branch to keep it there to hopefully allow it to see itself back together. I also applied flowertime nutrients since it was time to feed anyways.

My question: Is there anything else I can do to prevent anymore stress and fast track the healing?

Thanks everyone, as always I appreciate your feedback.

If you’ve got a lil honey or fresh aloe , you can put that on the crack. It’ll heal a bit quicker.
Bit of electrical tape around it for a couple weeks and it’ll be better than new.

Thank you very much! Does the honey have to be on the wound of can it be outside of it? I just don’t wanna peel it back again if it can be helped.

Just a bit along the outside is good where you’ve already got it back together.
I try to get a bit inside the wound if I can.
Seems to help relieve some of the wilting that can occasionally happen with this type of break.

So I may just be being overly cautious because this is one of my babies I’m talking about but I just wanna make sure this looks alright.

When I am My tying my spreading stakes, if i partially break a branch, I tie the branch with extra support. Usually within 48 hrs they recover from ā€œwilted branchā€.
Broke two on this lady when moving stakes

Take pictures and time her recovery.
All good advice above (Honey and Aloe, neither worked growing hair, for somebody I know).

I appreciate it. And I’ve been checking in on her frequently. She actually hasn’t shown any signs of anything besides slight droopage on the leaves thankfully. THAT I was THUROUGHLY surprised and thrilled to see. I was afraid it was going to be half dead or something. Lol

I’m sure you don’t need it but I wish you luck on a speedy recovery!

We all can use luck with speedy recoveries.
Thank you.
My pictured plant is tied w/ stakes to minimize the wind damage my grow can receive. She get 2hrs sun exposure, if we have no clouds.

I just looked at my last ā€œinjuredā€ branch.
It grows great but is removed from 3/4 knuckle area while being attached to lower area. No growth issues on her branches, currently (YEAH).

Hell yeah. Fingers crossed for you that it works to your advantage!

Whats fun is that when you have enough flower to last a bit, you can experiment with stuff.

You’ve done a great job so far. Just keep the plant chill, water and humidity on point, and give it bright indirect light. Maybe add a plant sealant to protect the wound. That’s about it! Want more on sealants?

I’m the experimental type regardless of how I’m sitting. Lol. No risk no reward type mentality. To quote one of my favorite Anime character, Erwin Smith - ā€œlife is a gambleā€ which if you really think about it. You never know the outcome of anything so everything is a game of odds.
